For Matthew Puccio, an elaborate, brightly colored tribal tattoo on his right arm tells the story of his life.

It is an appropriate symbol for a man who said he was surrounded by violence for much of his youth, a man who admitted killing and dismembering Jessica Rae Sacco, a woman he said he considered marrying.

Puccio's account of how he became acquainted with the others charged in the case contradicts information provided by police, who have said Puccio and Sacco recently met the Forney's online and that the group members were "loose friends."


In an interview, Puccio said he contacted Cook and Wright -- who he met three days before -- after the killing and was stunned that they helped him cover it up instead of calling the police, the Springfield News-Sun reported Sunday.


"It shocked the hell out of me," Puccio said. "I figured they'd be the first to call the cops on me."

They all plead guilty. The boyfriend was sentenced to life in prison.

This poor woman suffered terribly for hours, no doubt, and the other four defendants did nothing about it. They received sentences ranging from three to ten years for helping to cover up the crime.

HOURS LATER???? Oh dear goodness that poor woman. This is the type of crime for which the death penalty is intended. Off the top of my head I don't know if KY has it.

According to this article the murderer himself will be eligible for parole after 42 years!!!! :banghead: He'll be 67. He deserves natural life and nothing less IMO! So frustrating. 67 isn't that old. He could live 10+ years post release easy! ullhair:

On the bright side, her family will be spared the minutae and gory details that would come out in trial.

This murder/dismemberment reminds me of the similar crime against Adrienne Reynolds. People are sick. :sick:
