Stephens County Associate District Judge Brent Russell decided Friday that Katherine Hruby’s trust should go to John Hruby’s estate and not Alan Hruby...

The trust was started by Katherine Hruby’s grandparents in 1997, would mature when she would turn 21 and if she died before her 21st birthday, the money should be distributed to her lineal descendants.

Alan Hruby's murder trial is scheduled for April 18, per court records:

DA: “A major development” could come from Hruby’s special appearance in court tomorrow

District Attorney Jason Hicks said he expects “a major development,” in the case of Alan Hruby, who will make a special appearance in court tomorrow.

At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Hruby, charged with three counts of murder in the first degree for the shooting deaths of his parents and teen sister, will make a special appearance in District Judge Ken Graham’s courtroom.

Hicks advised a press conference will follow the hearing.

“Due to the gag order I am unable to comment any further, however, I anticipate a major development,” Hicks said.

Could be any number of things, but if I had to guess, I'd say he's changing his plea to guilty in exchange for LWOP instead of the death penalty.

Alan Hruby Pleads Guilty To Killing His Parents, Sister

Alan Hruby, 20, will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his father, mother, and sister in 2014.

Hruby pleaded guilty Thursday to three counts of first-degree murder, after his attorneys struck a plea agreement with the state.

(...)

District attorney Jason Hicks has called him an "evil person" and said he only agreed to resolve the case at the request of the victims' family.

(...)

And to ensure the victims' family would get closure, the state also required Hruby to waive his rights to appeal. Under the plea agreement, he is also restricted from speaking to media or making any contact with relatives.

"No one is going to hear from him again and I think that's a good thing," Hicks said,” especially a good thing for this family."

The family did not leave the Stephens County Courthouse without making sure Alan Hruby knew he is no longer considered a part of their family.
