I think her hair is too dark to be Sharon. What does everyone else think?

The age progression throws me off a little because they show this little girl growing into a dark haired woman and the eyes look quite dark too. When the little girl in the post by flower/translated by Tuffy is described as having gray eyes, I picture much lighter eyes. (I am not a good sleuther though...) The one question that pops into mind with this particular match is would Valeria have spoken Spanish, as she is from Argentina? (I'm sure there is a possibility of her being from a bi-lingual household?) But I guess what I wonder is if someone like Floyd would be able to get her into school (in about 1975) and "erase" her background? (Does any of that make sense?)

I am also wondering, for those of you following this case more closely than I, if the Christina Carter mentioned a couple pages back is a proposed match for Sharon? I am sorry, since the original story has been put down to this one thread, I am having trouble keeping up.

To flower, I don't know if the Wisconsin Village that you spoke of has been brought up before or investigated. I am sorry I can't be more of help in that area. I don't know if the postcard had a clear stamp reading Illinois? (I guess we would have to scour over the archives of the previous forum to find that out?)

I would like more than anything for "Sharon" to have a name, the proper one. It feels quite bad to know that "Sharon" spent most of her life with a monster and during many of those same years, some of the biggest problems many of us had were "What pants should I wear today?"... sad.

There is more then compelling evidence that FDF knew people in Oklahoma most of that information can be found in the threads on this site.
A news paper account Tulsa news paper FDF said first he had friends to leave Micheal with.
Finding a job with the Schools in Oklahoma also suggest he had friends or people that he knew.AKA:Sharon Marshall returns to Oklahoma the place she was killed and is buried. It would only be reasonable to conclude that there are people in Oklahoma that knew her at age 6 as she returns in 1990 some 14 years later.

he could erase her background but if she was valariea wouldnt she have had some sort of accent due to where she came from.? my grandma is from overseas and she has an accent came to the USA when she was 24 and u can tell by it that she was not born in the USA. i wonder if Sharon had and accent not commonly found in USA?

You said what I meant, but way better than I. Thank you! My mom had a hard time "shaking" her NY accent, even 60 years after leaving there. I wonder if compared to Valeria (whom I am guessing would have some accent), if anyone in the schools that she was enrolled in, noticed an accent. I don't know, just a thought.

Floyd went by the names Warren Marshall and Warren King fish Floyd....

As far as the color of hair when she was a little girl the Armanian girls hair is listed as blond and it looks blond to me in the picture but the quality of photos then wasnt always very good. I had really white hair but in some pics it almosts looks brown. I am just a little younger than this girl Valeria. And as far as speaking english she may have been bilengual or there also would have been a year and children learn languages quick. She could have been talked to only in English. Even now days people (adults and children) are stolen all over the world and sold. Many dont want to believe it but it unfortunatly does happen. I think the pics look somewhat similar. In this link from Tuffy earlier it shows in the upper right corner a pic of Sharon waving and her hair looks darker.

She must have dyed it to keep it blond. In the pics before the JROTC dance her hair is a bit darker also. Another link fron Tuffy was this translated version of the poster of Velaria from Argentina.

I also think it bears similarities to the pic of her with her friend Jennifer Fisher when she was in high school. Of course the age progressed photo is aged older but she bears a resemblance.

Floyd went by the name "Warren Marshall" (ironically enough, Warren and Marshall are cities in MI) and he used the name "Trenton", which too is a town in MI. The only thing I could find that any of these towns could even have in common is I-94. I think I-94 may also go to Chicago, I have to look at the map. The only reason I bring up Chicago is that I thought it was said that Floyd got Sharon in Chicago from a heroin using prostitute? (Could he have picked up a hitch-hiker in MI and driven her to Chicago with a child in tow?) This situation with Floyd and his travels bring up so many questions! (The other thing that I think of when I think of that area of MI, there are two major border crossings into Canada, and one of them is near the end of I-94, the other may be closer to I-75- I'm not sure.) The information I am throwing out is most likely not helpful, just my active mind at work.

Do you have any suggestions of what to look for in MI? I have looked at a lot of websites, but don't have a subscription to archives. From what I can remember, The Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News were the big newspapers around at the time, but I don't know how far back they go online.

Sorry if I'm not much help, just tossing ideas out there.

Its a possibility. FDF was in prison from 1963-1972 but the mother could have disapeared on her own accord due to pregnancy and maybe came across FDF a few years later while prostituting or living on the street. I know this could be far fetched but something just sets off bells when I keep reading about how he said he got this child. Also I have not seen any note that this has been looked into before.
