Don't forget that Oprah interview with the four pedophiles. I was gobsmacked when the one man said that his offending had started before age eight and he swore he'd never been abused himself. I really don't know. Learned, inborn? I really do not know.

Our children's rapist never admitted even though he was convicted on 12 counts and served ten years. He attended not a single therapy session nor completed a full sexual history disclosure so no one in his family has ever been looked at. Hmmmm.

Teen to be tried as adult on murder charge

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) — A 16-year-old Roseburg boy will be tried as an adult on aggravated murder and rape charges in the death last summer of a 5-year-old girl.

Dustin Michael Wallace was indicted Thursday by a Douglas County grand jury.

A prosecutor says because Wallace is under 18, he cannot be sentenced to death. But he could go to prison for the rest of his life.

Teen arraigned in murder, rape of 5 year old

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Dustin Wallace, 16, was arraigned in a Douglas County courtroom Monday afternoon on charges of aggravated murder and rape.

Wallace was indicted by a Grand Jury earlier this month for allegedly killing Sahara Dwight, 5, back on July 9.

Teen charged in OR girl's death waives jury trial
March 7, 2012

"A teen charged with aggravated murder and first-degree rape in the July 2010 death of a 5-year-old Roseburg, Ore., girl has waived his right to a jury trial and will let a judge decide his fate.

"...[Dustin] Wallace was 16 when he was accused of killing Sahara Dwight. Defense lawyers on Monday also dropped their motion to suppress statements Wallace made to police following his arrest. The boy is being tried as an adult. A prosecutor has said because he is under 18, he can't be sentenced to death if convicted, but he could face life in prison...."

Court document: Suspect told police he suffocated girl

To slow Sahara's struggling, he put his weight on the girl, placed his hand over her mouth and punched her in the stomach, Wallace said. He said he then raped the girl after she stopped moving.

However, he said he was swayed by testimony that Wallace took deliberate steps to ensure he wasn’t discovered while he sexually abused a sleeping Sahara.

Garrison said he was bothered that Wallace didn’t stop the abuse when Sahara struggled.
Likewise, he was disturbed by Wallace shouting “shut up” to Sahara’s mother after she reacted hysterically to her daughter’s death.
