Here are the known circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Lonene Rogers after watching YouTube videos of the Lonene Rogers case and the Justice For Lonene web page on Facebook.

Sometime after Lonene's small children are in bed for the night, Lonene and her husband had an argument in their home.

The husband claimed that he last saw Lonene during the early morning hours on Wednesday January 7, 1981. The husband also claimed after their argument, Lonene had left their home.

Prior to their argument, the couple had been separated in late 1980. The couple had a troubled marriage and Lonene was contemplating leaving her husband. The couple ended their separation for the sake of their two small children for the Christmas holiday.

Lonene had allowed her husband to stay with her and the children for the Christmas holiday with the stipulation that the husband leave their home on New Years Day.

The argument that Lonene and her husband had was likely over the issue of the husband overstaying his welcome and the current situation of their troubled marriage.

Lonene lived at a duplex home in the rural Little Corners area of Hayfield Township in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.

At the time of Lonene's disappearance, there was a blizzard with white out conditions in that area. Lonene left behind her purse, car keys, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and prescription medication. Lonene also left behind her two small children.

Lonene had a profound hearing impairment and she was almost totally deaf. Along with using her hearing aids to hear some sounds and spoken words, Lonene also used lip reading and sign language to communicate.

The husband who is also deaf, owned a four wheel drive Ford Bronco. The husband wakes the children up during the early morning hours, tells the children to get dressed, and then drives them to their babysitters home. The husband and children arrive at the babysitters home at approximately 3:00 A.M. in the morning during a blizzard.

The husband tells the children's babysitter that Lonene had left them for another man and purported that he was going to search for Lonene after dropping the children off.

Then sometime after dropping the children off at the babysitters home, the husband goes to work at his place of employment. The husband does not tell anyone at his workplace about the situation that his wife Lonene is missing.

The babysitter who was Lonene's friend and also was deaf, waited a few hours for her hearing daughter to wake up and make a telephone call to Lonene's father about the situation concerning Lonene.

Lonene's father and grandfather later arrived that day at Lonene's home. They frantically broke down the door after getting no response.

After entering Lonene's home, they are astonished to find everything is in pristine condition. All of the beds are made up and there are no dishes in the kitchen sink. Nothing is out of place or disturbed and everything is neat and tidy. All of Lonene's personal belongings that she left behind are on the dresser in her bedroom. Fearing for Lonene's safety, the police are contacted by Lonene's father and grandfather.

The husband picks up the children after work from the babysitter and goes back home. The husband arrives at Lonene's home to find Lonene's father, grandfather, and police are already inside the home.

The day before Lonene disappeared, her grandfather had visited Lonene and gave her sixty dollars when she asked for financial help for her and the children to leave her husband.

And when the police searched the husband at Lonene's home, sixty dollars are found in the husband's wallet. The husband claimed that Lonene had given him the money when the grandfather asked how the money was obtained.

Lonene Rogers was never seen or heard from again by her close relatives or friends since her disappearance. There also has been no activity on Lonene's social security number.

After considering the circumstances of Lonene's disappearance, my hinky meter is going off like a Geiger counter big time.

We know that Lonene was almost totally deaf with her profound hearing impairment. Lonene relied on hearing aids, lip reading, and sign language to communicate with people. We also know that Lonene wore eyeglasses and she also was taking prescription medication for an unspecified medical condition.

All of Lonene's personal belongings, her purse, car keys, hearing aids, eyeglasses, and prescription medication were left behind on her bedroom dresser.

A hearing impaired person would not be without and leave their hearing aids at home when going out somewhere.

Lonene was also supposed to wear her eyeglasses.

Here's something to consider. If a person who drove a car was required to wear eyeglasses or corrective lenses, that fact would be on their drivers license. And if a person who drove a car was hearing impaired or deaf, that fact would also be on their drivers license.

So if a person depended on their eyeglasses or hearing aids while driving, that person would not leave home without it.

The husband alleged that Lonene had left him and the children for another man.

There was a blizzard with white out conditions, poor visibility, blowing and drifting snow at the time that Lonene was alleged to have left her home.

And one of Lonene's relatives who was operating a snow plow recalled that there were hardly any vehicles on the rural roadways during the blizzard near where Lonene lived.

I find it dubious that Lonene would have traveled anywhere in the blizzard during the overnight hours.

If Lonene had left with another man that the husband alleged to have happened, Lonene would not have left all of her personal belongings, clothing, hearing aids, eyeglasses, prescription medication, and small children behind.

Lonene would have waited until the daylight hours when the husband was at work and when the road and weather conditions were better before leaving her husband and taking the children with her in her car.

There is the issue of two separate time lines during the night that Lonene disappeared.

There is the time period when the children were in bed for the night and until the husband woke the children up and drove them to the babysitters home.

And there is the time period after the children were dropped off at the babysitters home during an early morning blizzard and until the husband reported for his shift at work.

The husband owned a four wheel drive Ford Bronco. It's the type of four wheel drive vehicle that can be driven on unpaved back roads in rural areas.

While it is not known exactly when Lonene and her husband had their argument after the children were in bed, it does make you wonder if the husband had left the children home alone for some time after the argument and before the children were awoken and driven to the babysitters home.

The fact that Lonene Rogers has not been seen or heard from again and the lack of any activity on her social security number does not bode well at all. I suspect that foul play is involved in the disappearance of Lonene Rogers.
