Police arrested 21-year-old Ishemer Ramsey after tipsters told them he was cleaning out the inside of his car, including removing carpeting from the passenger side. When police stopped him Sunday, they say the car smelled of bleach and its passenger seat was missing.

Police say Ramsey also told a friend he shot Barto three times because he suspected she was cheating on him.

I've been following from the beginning - was so hoping she would come home safe...now hoping they find her, so she can at least be brought back to her family. Closure, whatever that looks like. So sad for her little girl.

Burned body identified as missing Butler Co. woman; second man charged

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A body found in Neshannock Township near New Castle in Lawrence County has been identified as a missing Butler County woman.

A farmer came across the body of Melissa "Missy" Barto along Old Pulaski Road around 7 p.m. Monday night.

The article mentioned more arrests expected in the coming days. I was honestly surprised to see someone along with her boyfriend had been apprehended. Accomplices? Help after the fact?

I can't understand how someone can shoot someone else in the head, especially a person close to them. And then burn them? It's just unfathomable. What a cold hearted monster he is! I hope they lock him away for the rest of his life. If he ever gets out he'd do it again.

Agreed - shooting someone in the head once (let alone multiple times) and in such close proximity...that's really up close and personal. I can't even fathom. Poor Missy she must have been so scared. Interestingly in checking her social media she was posting about how much she loved/missed him up to about 4 days before she disappeared. Either he was always violent and she didn't share about it or he cracked (I'm going to go with first option in this case). Really a sick individual.

this makes me sick reading about it ... I won't even say what I am thinking about this monster .. so, he thinks she is cheating on him, so decides he's gonna kill her? disgusting ...

And then go post on their SM asking if people have heard from her and telling her to come home to her daughter.

I feel horrible for Missy, the family, and especially that poor little girl. I hope they can heal and that they know they had a huge hand in bringing awareness to the case and getting justice for Missy.

3rd arrest today josh bowser, car used to transport and he knew it was going in his trunk, so i wonder did they use 2 cars one for killing then one to transport?

Joshua Wayne Bowser, 21, of Lyndora was charged with hindering apprehension, a felony, and criminal conspiracy to commit abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, both misdemeanors.

“He assisted in disposing of the victim's body,” said Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger.
