Update on Home Invasion, Search for Missing Woman

State police want to know if the blood found on Brian Vroman's gray hooded sweatshirt belongs to Michelle Inch.

For the past week, troopers have searched for Inch, 31, of Montoursville in three counties. She was last seen last week, several hours before her boyfriend Michael Houseweart and Brian Vroman allegedly broke into her parents' home near Montoursville, tied them up with duct tape, and set the place on fire.

"It's a shame that the two that are in custody won't come forward with information because with the information that you have, it seems like they must know,” said Debbie Starr.

A search warrant reveals Inch's parents recently inherited about $35,000. Their daughter, Michelle, picked up Michael Houseweart at his home near Canton last Tuesday around 5 p,m. Houseweart was carrying a shotgun and told his roommate he was going target shooting. Michelle's phone was last used later that evening and was turned off early Wednesday morning.

According to troopers, that same night Houseweart admitted to a family member he was depressed about Facebook messages between Inch and an ex-boyfriend and "felt like burning someone's house down."

MONTOURSVILLE — Treatment for a suspected spider bite may determine if the blood found on the abandoned car of a missing Lycoming Count woman is hers.

State police say they have obtained a vial of the blood drawn from Michelle Lynn Inch at Muncy Valley Hospital when she went to the emergency room Jan. 22 for treatment of a suspected spider bite.

Test results comparing her blood with that on the car have not been received, police said.

Honestly, do those criminal masterminds think that when you inherit money , the lawyer immediately seizes cash and mails it to the inheritees house?

Fairfield Township, Lycoming County (WBRE/WYOU) - Two people accused of tying up a couple and setting their house on fire while they were still inside in January, were in court Thursday.

Michael Houseweart and Brian Vroman are being charged with trying to kill Gary and Linda Inch. Houseweart and Vroman waived their preliminary hearings Thursday morning in District Court, which means a trial could be right around the corner for the two. Authorities say this case won't be closed until Houseweart's girl friend, Michelle Inch is found.
Michael Houseweart and Brian Vroman are expected in County Court Mar. 21.

If they do match the blood from the sweatshirt to Michelle, maybe that will give LE some leverage to pressure one or other of them to speak up and make a deal.

This can't be good. Where can she be? Would it be possible for someone else to have her?

Authorities and volunteers continue to conduct searches in the Canton area and places Inch was known to have frequented.

Interviews have been conducted and cell phones mapped without success. They have obtained the external hard drives of the cell phones of both. The hard drives were wanted to search for forensic evidence of contacts, text messages and possibly pictures.

Test results of a blood splatter on the outside of the car and items from in the vehicle have yet to come back from a lab despite the request for expedited attention.

Investigators say they believe financial gain was a partial motive for the home invasion. Gary and Linda Inch had received an inheritance of more than $35,000 and had given their daughter $1,000 of it..
