SALINAS POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP IN IDENTIFYING CRASH VICTIM

01/12/06 3:50 PST SALINAS (BCN)

The Salinas Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a pedestrian who sustained life-threatening injuries in a Friday car accident, police reported Wednesday.

The victim is on life support at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital after being involved in an accident with a vehicle at the intersection of East Alisal Street and Towt Street in Salinas.

According to police, the victim is a Hispanic man of approximately 25 to 30 years of age, standing between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds, with short dark hair and a dark mustache.

The man was wearing blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a black sweat jacket at the time of the accident.

Anyone who believes they may recognize the victim is asked to contact Traffic Officer Kevin Orepeza at (831) 758-7974.

I searched the National Center for Missing Adults, The Trucker Boards, and did a google search. Came up with nothing.
