I know a little about the case
Kara Robinson (150 yo) was abducted on June 24 2002 , and held for something like 18-20 hours before she was able to free herself and escape his apartment while he he was asleep, when he woke he discovered the victim missing he fled to Sarasota Florida during his time on the run he maintained contact with his sister.
While he was on the run, police in Virginia, were searching his apartment where they found forensic evidence linking him to the murders of Sophia Silva and both Lisk girls , after identifying who the individual on the lease was , was they discovered he lived also lived in Spotsylvania at one point .
In his apartment there was a foot locker which held several newspaper clippings about the Silva and Lisk murders.
Now with a photo of the individual Robinson identified him for the police as the man who abducted and repeatedly raped her .
Cornered by police in Florida he called his sister and alluded to several other crimes before taking his own life while a Canine officer attempted to pull him from the car, a search of his vehicle later revealed Kristin Lisk's palm print on the inside of the trunk lid
It was already known through DNA match that the individual responsible for Sophia Silvas rape/murder was also responsible for the rape/murders of Kati and Kristen Lisk
A few months after his death fibers forensic analysis revealed identical fiber evidence from Evonitz's apartment found on the bodies of all 3 girls.
The Making of a Psychopath/Sociopath:
Evonitz grew up in a volatile home, the oldest of 3 he was the only male having 2 younger sisters. His parents separated twice once when he was very young then again when he was 12 years old. His father (Joseph) was described as an alcoholic with a horrible temper who was known to verbally and physically abuse the entire family, primarily his son.
In one instance (denied by Joseph) but supported by the remaining members of the Evonitz family, Joseph in a fit of rage drowned Richards pet dog while the boy watched helplessly
Richard once claimed that his father once tried to drown him as well there are 2 different stories however , his first wife would claim Richard would have nightmares about his father .
Richard began drinking and using marijuana at 12 and 13 years old , he himself was known to echo his fathers temper getting into trouble at school and breaking into a neighbors residence, his overbearing mother would often bail him out of trouble
Affairs were rampant among both parents, sometimes embroiling the Evonitz children in those as messengers, fiollowing their divorce (after their second separation) his mother would eventually marry rapist murder Perry Devaux, incarcerated in a South Carolina prison, only to divorce him 12 years later.
His father inticed him to join the navy after he was discovered writing bad checks while working at a Jiffy Lube , he returned 9 years later changed, but not for the better
He had a very sure (almost arrogant) sense of himself ,superficial, and glib, he excelled in sales, he also had a new alarming egocentric air about him, (typical of sociopaths) he felt rules didnt apply to him, and was known to rebel against all forms of authority.
His hatred for his father was well known, in one instance following the break up of Josephs marriage he asked Richard if he could live with him, Richard refused, Joseph traveled to Richards house and parked in his driveway hoping his son would relent, Richard did not and his father was forced to sit in his car overnight before leaving
Despite his loathing of his father Evonitz was close to his mother and sisters.
Through his military service and coupled with work travel (Selling compressors and parts) Evonitz had resided in 16 different states throughout his life, he was known as a firearms fanatic, with a horrific temper and both used and sold marijuana.
He was married twice one ending in divorce, only to re marry 3 years later, the other he maintained till his death , he didnt have any children. One interesting characteristic in both of these were that he was significantly older then both women. (Bonnie 17 when he was 25, and Hope 17 when he was 36)
After purchasing a home in 1996 , within 5 months, his first wife advised him that she wanted to leave him, she met a man on the internet in California, she planned to fly there to live with him. Richard was "devastated" and told others he planned to commit suicide
In September of that month his first wife (Bonnie) flew to California to meet the man and visit family, it was then Evonitz abducted Sophia Silva , in a foot locker found in his apartment was a postcard from Bonnie sent from California postmarked the day Sophia Silva was abducted.
On May 1 1997 Evonitz after filing for bankrupcy had to meet with creditors at the US district court,following that hearing at noon he drove to a pre determined location, and abducted the Lisk girls as they sat on their lawn
Evonitz had an arrest record of indecent exposure where he masturbated in front of a teenage girl in 1987 in Orange park Fla. He received probation
His next known crime was the abduction and murder of Silva in 1996
Just over a year later he abducted and murdered both Lisk girls as they sat outside their home
He was however a suspect in 2 abduction rapes of teenage girls in 1994 and 1995 in Virginia (Massaponax)
Evonitz was 38 at the time of his last abduction (Robinson 2002) which puts him at age 33 at the time of the Lisk sisters abduction murder 32 at the time of Sophia Silvias abduction murder (The mean age of most abduction murders committing their first murder is usually between 27 and 35 years of age).
Its believed Evonitz liked to surveil his victims prior to abduction, but his MO was to place the victim in a large plastic tub in the trunk of his car to avoid evidence transfer and prevent the victims from being able to free themselves .
He would pull the car into a garage, and remove the entire plastic bin, he would then bind the victim , He had a preoccupation with drowning, forced victims to shower or wash off and shave their pubic region he would bind the victims wrist and ankles, and use sex toys on them , he also did this with his wives. Some speculate that this may explain the time discrepancies in Evonitz crimes. He had willing participants at home to satisfy his deviant sexual urges.
(Both his wives sated that they felt as the aged Evonitz showed less interest in them, and made several statements telling them to keep up their youthful appearance.)
Found in his apartment was a variety of *advertiser censored* both adult and child *advertiser censored*

Victims were strangled , then wrapped in blankets , and bound with rope, before being discarded near bodies of water. Its beleived he used the same method to transport victims to the dump sites as well
