FYI: Cecil Wingo's son, Matt, is engaged to former WS member, Hollow. (They might be married by now)

Matt is former LE and worked TX serial murders during his career. He is currently a PI and is a active in several cold case threads on Hollow's site.

My condolences to the Wingo family.

Re: Susan Nason case, while George Franklin was released, what ever happened to the fact that child *advertiser censored* & incest pictures & magazines WERE found in his apartment upon arrest? Doesn't that lend to any credibility to this woman? I think Eileen got a bum deal just because she was hypnotised. She 1st had the memory or pieces of it long prior to hypnosis but she became the 'fall guy' for repressed memories.

Anyone know if this Franklin is still alive? It scares me that he's out there, that he did (by LE's account) have child *advertiser censored* and his own daughter had memories about this murder, irregardless of the hypnosis part.

I realize that Cynthia Sumpter has already been mentioned on this thread but I thought it would be useful to list her again here with a link to more information for others who might be researching.

There are several other older children (females) who have gone missing from areas that are relatively close to Half Moon Bay. I will list those in a separate post.

I've edited the thread title so we can further sleuth and discuss cases similiar to Anna's and have a single place to discuss similiarites between Annas case and other disappearances in one place.

While this is close to the 'Other Stranger Abduction thread'; we can pick apart and sleuth the similiarities and then bring them over for further discussion on the Other Stranger abduction' thread. ie, information placing the perp in another case in the HMB area during the time Anna disappeared.

I wonder what charges he faced for the child *advertiser censored*. Kind of freaky that Foster, CA is a stones throw from HMB.

We should really look George Franklins criminal history. I'm not all that familiar with the case, so will have to do some catching up.

Franklin's probation report, not part of the trial but given to the judge before sentencing, corroborates some of his daughter's testimony. An ex-girlfriend interviewed by police said Franklin asked if he could have sex with her 8-year-old daughter. He also reportedly told the woman he belonged to a society whose motto was "Sex before 8 or it's too late." Franklin's lawyer, Douglas Horngrad, says his client will appeal

Interesting comments from an ex girlfriend of Franklins in the above article. I'd love to see a copy of his probation report.
 
I thought this might be a good time and place to mention that we recently did a little more 'spring cleaning' here at WS. For everyone, but especially those of you who don't venture out of Annas forum often, we now have a 'Missing But Not Forgotten Discussion' area here at WS.

All pre 2000 cases are seperated by decade, so we have Missing But Not Forgotten Discussion - 1970's sub forum. This might be a great place to check for similiar cases to Anna's for comparison.

Notice last comment 2014 but just in case wanted to ask or point out that Terry Rasmussen / Bob Evans also lived in this general area "San Mateo" - Redwood City in the early 70's . Just a little background ... and mentions living in Redwood City:

I don't see how Anna's case could be related to Terry Rasmussen. His victims were women who happened to have kids and in some cases the children were victims as part of the murder of their mothers. AFAIK he never abducted any children, or committed any crimes against children without a related adult being involved as well.

Good point ... All I know about him is what I've read. Pretty sure he was in the area around this time. From what I've read it appears his victims were children, some the same age as or close in age to Anna. I'm not saying it was him ; just pointing something out . I wouldn't know for sure one way or the other.
