GUILTY SC - Ashley Pegram, 28, Dorchester County, 4 April 2015

GOOD!

Denied bond should be the least of his worries, imo.

From the article:

"One search warrant led to the discovery of blood evidence in the trunk of Bonilla's vehicle and other locations that were under his control" on April 4, Phinney said in a statement . . . Phinney said the blood was forensically examined and is consistent with the DNA profile of Pegram, who investigators now believe is deceased.

I was just on her facebook page watching a few videos on her kids. So sad... I started to have tears run down my cheeks.. :(

Rip Ashley you will never be forgotten, not be us or your children.

I saw this on Ashley's Facebook page and I thought I'd share. It seemed appropriate anyway....I don't know...just....

Aww I hope her kids and family take some comfort in this. They have lost so many people on that family recently. After my mom died we all latched on to her last post which was "the last 24 hours have been the best of my life". So much comfort.

Coroner: Body found is that of missing mother in Dorchester County
May 10, 2015 5:28 PM CDT

A body found in Dorchester County has been identified as a missing Summerville woman who went missing in April after going on a date with a man she met online. Ashley Nicole Pegram was found in a densely wooded area Saturday off of Brown Town Road near Harleyville.

In an email Sunday, Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet said an autopsy performed this morning "revealed many interesting facts." Nisbet ruled her death as homicidal violence.

I'm so glad they have her. I hope they have what they need to nail this guy now

:( So unnecessary. I mean what could she have possibly done to deserve this???

I figured this was the news that would be coming.

Happy Mother's Day, Ashley. Hoping for justice now.

So heartbreaking. RIP Ashley. Prayers for her kids and family.

:rose: RIP Ashley :rose:

I wonder if the perp was the one who gave them the tip?

Considering how hard it was for LE to find her there (2 days, special dogs) it seems like only the person(s) involved with putting her there would have known where it was.

Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies said on Monday a tip led them to Harleyville for the search. It took two days of searching and the use of special cadaver dogs, but officials found Pegram's body had been buried in a wooded area.

<snip>

"The autopsy revealed many interesting facts, that lead me to rule the cause of death for the person as homicidal violence, with the manner of death being a homicide," Nisbet said in a release.

"Many interesting facts" is an unusual choice of words. I don't recall seeing that in other cases.

I'm just glad they've found her and what they have known has been confirmed and it's not like several other cases that are in limbo right now - with bodies found and no CoD or arrest, or those with arrests but no bodies, etc.

Hopefully it will mean justice for Ashley.

If other arrests are possible, it could be an accomplice or someone he told.

Looking at that area on satellite and on property records, Brown Town Road is a dead end loop with about 4 different last names between 12 or so residences. If an unknown car came and turned around back there, they'd probably notice it wasn't someone who belonged. Maybe they only just put two and two together.
