Found Deceased SC - Brittanee Drexel, 17, Myrtle Beach, 25 April 2009 - #7

I am hopeful that she is alive but if she was sold into human trafficking lord only knows what she's going thru. I have also wondered if she is possibly 'escorting' somewhere up or down the coast from MB. Most people are probably not as enlightened as sleuths are about Britt's case and appearance. She would need a fake identity which she may have had for admittance to the clubs in MB anyway. Also, it is a 'cash driven' industry and difficult to track.

I wonder about posting Britt's 'missing' flyer on CL on the escort categories. I am not familiar with 'CL' other than I know it's free and local and escort services advertise there.
Does anybody know anything about this? It would certainly be a good way to create awareness for those who use those services. Ya never know, if she's being pimped out, someone who uses such services may recognize her. It's kind of an odd idea I know.....

Posting the missing flyer ad on CL sounds like a good idea, but i don't think it would work. Everyone who uses CL can anonymously "Flag" an ad for wrong category, inappropriate content, etc. Couple of flags and your ad gets removed. The ads for local adult services, i am sure, have a large following. The CL ad would be flagged and removed in 20 minutes, is my thought.

Unfortunately it's really hard to get thiis into the public's eye.

This might sound a bit weird, but hear me out... what if we posted the missing person flyer at local "adult bookstores" in MB and NMB??? I dont know how much cooperation we would get from owners/managers. I also do not know if her family would appreciate that... The only advantage i could see is possibly informing individuals that would otherwise be uninformed.

again, i am just throwing that out there to get your opinions on it.. i have yet to decide for myself if this is a good idea or not...

I think wherever one could post a flyer - whether seedy or not - would be great. There are people who do not listen to the news - local or otherwise, and there are people who do not read the newspaper as well.

Also with a lot of MB's employees being of other heritage...a lot of them I have encountered do not speak English. If possible - some info on the flyer should possibly be in Spanish - but that's JMO

However - just pointing out...if Club K had adhered to the law BD would have never been allowed in - and if that had happened...what where her friends going to do?

She was like the 5th wheel. AL was hooked up with PO (JO's brother) and JO was hooked up with UO (although he was in another hotel - Boardwalk). BD was with no one.

PB readily admits to BD visiting him (and the other guys) on the beach on Sat. around noon. He also admits to her being there in their room around 8 PM. If this be the only 2 times she was with PB (besides seeing him at Club K - girls say Thurs. night - PB says Fri. night) then when did she leave the red flipflops (as PB described them) in his room? Did BD stay with PB on either Thurs. or Fri. night? Wouldn't one realize that one left their shoes - since they would be barefoot?

I think Rose has a good idea about starting back at the very beginning - with the hours before BD leaves NY.

I see what you mean about the "What if?" admittance being denied at club k? that looks, on the map, to be a long walk back to the hotels. that would suck something awful.. UNLESS PB or anther member of the gang said something like "No worries, i know some people, i got you covered" We know that PB did some club promotion, and it was the "lesser evil" (18+ vs 21+) *OR* another scenario - the MB local! maybe someone she met during her stay told her bout club k, and this person told BD that he/she could get BD in there???

The red flip flops only make sense if she either A) stayed the night at PB's room... which to me would be a little weird because of the "sausagefest" factor... or B) she changed clothes in PB's room before going out... (from beach clothes to clubwear or whatever)

The only reason i can think of for the other girls to want BD to come along is the idea "The more, the merrier" That was my thought way back when i was a kid trying to find a party.... i would beg my single friends to come with, even if i was with someone at the time... Of course after sharing the long car ride to sc and sharing a room, JO and AL may have wished that they had not invited BD.

Well...Maybe it did start off that way...the more the merrier...but after that long ride...BD not having much money...wearing JO's clothes...probably drinking their alcohol...eating their food... I'm sure it wore a little thin... Then there was going to be that long car ride back home...

Just remembering from my days, way back when - when I tried to fit in with the older crowd it always seemed that I tried too hard...wouldn't expect it to be any different from BD - which would cause JO/AL to see her as annoying...probably some of the guys felt that way as well.

And I've always said...you get 3 girls together and invaribly someone is going to get left out or feel they've gotten left out...an argument is going to start...something not good is going to happen. I've seen it play out in my life many times as well as the lives of other girls as well as my 2 daughters.....

It was also suspected that BD was looking for another way home - since things didn't go well with these girls. And it's been said and quite possible that she was looking for a ride home with PB.

If memory serves me correctly the argument between BD and her Mom was sometime mid-day on Wed. and they supposedly left NY shortly after that.

MBLOVER, im not sure how this went down (if i read in group,or in paper) that DD called and ask BD to talk to friend she was with (her dad) and it was told they already in MB then and that guy talk dd told BD was ok? im not sure if it was talk in a fb group or if it was in news? but i take it that BD wasnt at AL at first ,but i agree with all you say!!

Seems there was some mention by DD - somewhere - that she had called to where BD was supposed to be and someone posing as a "Dad" (or who DD mistakenly thought was the "Dad") stated that they (being BD & whoever) had gone to a movie.

Later when BD was speaking with DD and DD asked her where she was, she said she was at the beach and DD assumed BD meant a beach there in NY, close to home, since it was a warm day (according to DD).

You all are the best. Thanks for not flogging me for my idea. I'm sure you are correct mlatta, about the CL idea. Do you know if there is a missing person category on that site?

And MBL, I'd vote that it's not likely that any Adult stores would really want to have a flyer of a missing girl in there window but it couldn't hurt to ask. All they can say is no, right? But what we could do is target businesses nearby the Adult stores as there could be overflow foot traffic. I am just trying to figure out how to reach the target demographic who contact escort services.

Too bad there's not a quarterly publication of missing persons from the region. Kinda like the Mug Shot publication that sells for a dollar at the 'quik rip marts'. I doubt the hotels would allow such a thing in the rooms, unlike the gideon bibles are placed. That is a fading trend as well, IMO.

RoseC, I watched the doctors show yesterday. (our broadcasts are a day late for some reason). I thought DD gave a terrific interview, although one could tell she could choke up at any minute. She was very strong. The segment before DD's about the rufies (sp?) gained my attention. I wonder if Britt had a drink while visiting the boys that night. I also wonder if there were some local college boys visiting the chili boys while she was there. I realized from the show how easy it is to spike someone's drink in just a few seconds.

Let's theorize that there were some locals in the boys room visiting while Britt was there. The locals brought some party drugs. Britt came to pick up the girls share. A local spiked her drink (she would've been there long enough for a beer, yes?). Bitt leaves. The local knew where Britt was headed and that it was a bit of a walk for her, waits about 5 minutes and then leaves, as his deal was done. By this time the rufie is taking effect on her and this dude just happens by and offers her a ride. Being disoriented and feeling a bit sick she accepted and felt she was with someone she could trust.

The Chili boys may not actually know anything but suspect this person and yet may not talk due to the nature of the visit in the first place.

Hope this makes sense and as always just thinking and typing.....

This information came from BD's grandmother. I wonder if she possibly mixed up some information. And, if she did, I certainly do not blame her, I can only imagine how hard this has been on her.

I did confirm with the reporter, Prentiss Findlay, that the quotation was indeed correct.

How could BD tell her mom that she is packing up to come home, if her mom has no idea she is in MB?!?!?:waitasec:
