Detective Bobo was convicted of throwing out evidence that damaged the ability for the family of a homicide victim in Simpsonville SC of getting justice. You can see his admission in the attached article. He stated he did this to protect who he felt strongly was innocent - the person who found the body.

Cassandra Johnson Family Sues SPD

I have personally wondered if the cases are related. As a resident in the area, the location of the residences of both females, both being linked to the Ingles (grocery store), Libby’s place of work, location of the found car (Libby’s case) and body (Cassandra’s case) are all very close in proximity. There is no suspect information in Cassandra’s case like there is in Libby’s (white male seen with her by multiple witnesses at the Ingles on July 18).

IMO if there is a link, considering the area and the found remains nearby of Cassandra, perhaps she was disposed of more locally and it just has not been found. Both cases occur next to I-385 also. You can easily take this to get onto 185 within about 3-5 minutes, I-85 within 10 minutes and also to I-26 within 25-30 minutes roughly. The area where both occurred - residences and last known locations - are all locations where people are passing through, are industrial, and back then were intermixed with more rural areas as well. Even to this day Grandview Rd is not somewhere you want to be walking on foot late at night and a lot of these roads are faster speed passing-through roads.
