I noticed something on fb. Someone created a new account on debember 15th (before HE's disappearance.) Liked the picture of her she posted on nov 20th. And liked the find heather elvis fb page. Thought it was strange. No profile picture. nothing on timeline and etc. Not b I no other info for account except for location being new york. could be completely innocent and harmless person and just a coincidence My first thought was that someone created an account just to follow the find heather page and remain somewhat unknown sm wise and etc, but that didnt make sense because the account was created before she went missing. I dunno. I could just be way too observant and making something out of nothing but you ever see something that seems just weird????

P.m. me if you need more help finding it.

Yeah that's weird. Actually... that's SUPER weird to me. Tip it.

I'm not convinced the 66 days comment is connected to face cream - sounds good but it isn't a known product and makes no sense that peeps would understand what it signifies. Unlike "camel toe", lol!
I won't belabor this issue (oops, yes I will) but, if HE was selling the line or something it might make sense. From what I saw, she was more into announcing her emotional state and relationship struggles. It makes no sense to me that she'd be shouting out an obscure skin care line.
Something or someone she had stepped away from for 66 days makes more sense to me or something she was looking forward too - tomorrow.

I kinda thought maybe cigarettes.

I don't know if this has been answered; I talked with my stylist today and she told me that while makeup artists are required to be licensed here, she didn't think that this particular salon had any qualms about hiring unlicensed workers. I'm not sure if anyone ever found any confirmation that Heather went to HGTC?

I looked her up on this website

http://www.llr.state.sc.us/pol/cosmetology/index.asp?file=faq.htm

and found that she DOES have a cosmetology license since 7/2011, renewed 2/2013 and expires 3/2015.

Quoting myself because now I'm confused. Since she's 20 years old, IF this is her, that means that she received her cosmetology license while in high school. In my state you have to do a 14 months long program. Not sure about the requirements for licensure in SC.

Anyone know her middle initial?

R. Also, from that same site, here's about the requirements:

Answer: SECTION 40-13-230. Qualifications for licensure; cosmetologist; esthetician; nail technician.

A license as a cosmetologist must be issued by the board to a person who:

(1) is at least sixteen years of age and possesses at least a tenth grade education or the equivalent as established by tests used in the public schools or tests approved by the board;

(2) has completed at least one thousand five hundred hours in classes in cosmetology in a reliable school approved by the board or is a registered master hair care specialist pursuant to Chapter 7 who has satisfied educational requirements established by the board in regulation; and

(3) has passed the examination prescribed by the board and pays the required fee.

Locals, are there red light cameras which issue tickets along any route from Heather's condo to PTL?

Also, how long does it take for a red light camera ticket (once it catches you) to be sent to your address (if there are red light/ticket issuing cameras in the MB area). ty.

Wow. Someone that has been in the military and is a Captain does not just leave/desert for no good reason. Just my opinion of course.

As an Air Force member myself, yes a Captain, let alone Enlisted or Officers would not just up and run for no good reason. It's a stretch but, Shaw AFB where he is stationed is only 90-100 miles from Myrtle Beach, My belief is he headed dead west when spotted in Waco Georgia, buuut, it's not a stretch to believe he went southeast, then west. After all, both were last seen on Dec 18.

"I am curious why the details of what HE was last SEEN wearing were not released? Since she was last SEEN by her date, it seems these details would be very important for the public to know. An article of clothing, purse, cell phone could surface ANYWHERE and if it's not in the thoughts of the public it could easily be discarded... I recently read about a home abduction that took place in Columbia SC area and the young girls phone was found in Myrtle Beach near Walmart/ Seaboard St... The family and community has done such an amazing job getting HE's disappearance out there but the public needs to be aware of these details just in case something should surface so it is not overlooked."

Then you have this quoted from post 941 from Missing Link. Sorry, I suck at multi quoting. But Columbia SC is where the missing Captain resided. Was he up to some shady stuff before all of this??? Who knows. I suck at sleuthing, and mostly lurk, just my :twocents:.

This is a very interesting thought, many years ago an incident took place in Conway involving a man that worked in a salon. He was harassing/stalking young women including myself. After telling my father he called the police and they went to the hair salon and had a talk with him. Details later surfaced that he had been making obscene phone calls to a young girl at her work, not sure if charges ever came about. The man later moved to a salon in Loris.

Many salons in Pittsburgh have had male owners or employees using the tanning areas as peeping toms............also many have had been used as fronts for drugs......just putting it out there. I once owned a salon/spa and had to fire many girls over drug use.......JMOO

I've heard RSO's getting on base as contractors. In the particular case I saw, though, it was supposed to require a higher clearance than what is usually required for contractor personnel. Should have been EASILY picked up on with the required background check. A slam dunk. No brainer. The check was never done, however.

They didn't do background checks on contractor employees. Contractors regularly hire people straight out of jail. They need laborers, etc. To work for the military, yes a background check, but every telephone repairman, contractor etc that enters an installation, no.

As someone who is licensed to carry in NYS ,I would recommend a caliber with more stopping power than the .380 if you can handle it..for the home why not get a shotgun(more intimidating and no need to aim, just point in the general direction)..just saying..

False advice. .380 is a fine self defense weapon for a woman imo.

A shotgun? We're not all Elly May Clampett. LOL!

Gosh, I don't think there are any red light cameras…I've never seen one or been ticketed by one!

Some high schools allow you to go through technical programs as part of your HS degree. She probably did a dual study in HS.

:twocents: 2 people missing........a lady and a gent.....66 days.....could this be planned AWOL? did they ever meet? Have any connection what so ever??? Just thinking.......

R. Also, from that same site, here's about the requirements:

Yes, my niece is a licensed cosmetologist- she went to the county voc tech, instead of the traditional h.s. and came out licensed to work. I'm guessing other states could have similar h.s. programs.

Middle initial matches. Does anyone know if her high school has a tech school component where a student can do HS classes part of the day and classes towards a cosmetology license, CNA, etc? If that's the case then it makes more sense, although issuing it in 7/2011 originally still confuses me a bit.

But at least now we know HE is a licensed cosmetologist.

FHE is asking for volunteers to so it looks like CUE will be doing another search this weekend.

I'm not seeing this Beba, can you tell me how to find it?

Woe.be.gone, I can go either way on this one...I know if I found a new product, I truly loved, I would definitely give it a random shout out on SM (at least I would have when I used SM). But...I didn't notice her doing that over a long period of time, so maybe it would be uncharacteristic of her. Also, some posters made some references to different possible meanings of 66 (i.e. how many days it takes to form a habit, days of sobriety, etc.) so it is def possible it meant something to her we don't know...Also, where did the product designers come up with the name? Their reference point might be her reference point, kwim? So, it may be a red herring...but maybe not. Tomorrow is the day (66 after), right? Sadly, I don't think it will be the day will solve the mystery to her reference.
