A couple of other quibbling little things:

--Why wasn't the 11 year old witness and niece of Tywanza Sanders called to the stand? She's only a kid, but 11 is old enough.

--Why wasn't witness Jennifer Pinckney, the widow of the minister, called to the stand?

--The first reports of a suspect said he was 21 years old. This was attributed to a statement from a witness who said Roof mentioned it. Why didn't the defense attorney bring it up? Roof allegedly made other statements to the witnesses, but no one is curious about this utterance.


There are too many UNANSWERED QUESTIONS in this case!

I think you are reaching in this case and there are actually NOT a lot of unanswered questions.

Would you subject your 11 yo daughter to testifying in a murder trial and reliving the trauma? If your answer is yes, then perhaps you might want to rethink that.

The widow and relatives of the victims in this crime MAY be called during the Mitigating and Aggravating portions of this trial. IMO, they would NOT serve a purpose in determining guilt or innocence.

You can find fault in just about anything as no one is perfect. IMO, the Government proved their case pretty darn well, beyond a reasonable doubt, that DSR killed these innocent people with malice and aforethought.

He doesn't sound that prepared if he's loading his mags at the last moment. Does the surveillance camera in the church parking lot show him loading the mags? ANd Roof wasn't worried about being noticed as a white guy sitting in his car in the parking lot of a black church?

Now that is a truly bizarre statement. How does the prosecutor know this? Supposedly there were no cameras in the church itself. And if the recoil was that severe it would likely have broken his arm or wrist.

When I shoot a high caliber pistol, specifically my .357 snub and desert eagle, my hand can recoil 2-3 ft, with both hands on the gun. And my wrist has never broken lol. Dylann Roof found guilty on all counts in Charleston church shooting trial

"...Roof was charged with 33 counts in his federal indictment, and he was found guilty on every single one. Family members of the victims nodded silently as each charge was read aloud, and some held hands, their eyes shut tightly, as the each guilty verdict was announced in the courtroom just a mile from the church.

The verdict was seen as likely, and the trial largely hinged on what happens next. Much like in the Boston Marathon bombing trial last year — the last case that saw the Justice Department obtain a rare federal death sentence — Roof’s guilt has been effectively unquestioned. Prosecutors played video footage of Roof admitting his guilt to FBI agents, and Roof’s attorneys did not argue that he was innocent.

Instead, the larger question surrounding the trial has focused on the next portion of the case, which will deal with whether Roof is sentenced to death or life in prison.

This sentencing phase is set to begin next month, and it remains far less clear what will happen there, as Roof said Thursday he still intends to represent himself there. Federal death sentences are rare, but the government has opted to seek one in this case, even though it has caused some unease among relatives of the victims....

While prosecutors will outline the aggravating factors that they believe warrant a death sentence, it is unclear what Roof will do in his own defense. Bruck had previously indicated in a court filing that he would raise the issue of Roof’s mental health, which could be a mitigating factor to avoid a death sentence...

Prosecutors had previously said that they believed Roof self-radicalized online, drawing bigoted beliefs from the Internet rather than any personal experiences...
