Sex Workers & Truck Drivers: Post Stories Here

I would love to know from Sex Workers what their motivation is for putting themselves in the way of danger?

Is it drugs, College fees, kids or family?

The police seem to have very little regard for people who in many cases are far better educated then themselves. Why is this not a talking point for journalists?

And also how does the media treat you? Do they ask you for Human interest stories are you treated as a homeless person with no standing, or are you simple considered a sex starved junkie in need of a good time? Sorry if the language is a bit direct. Thanks. J

I'm kinda lost after reading some of these... newbie alert... How does a girl end up 400 miles away from where she started? If she's there working... wouldn't she climb into the cab, make her pay then get out and move on? How does driving her miles away from the truck stop even happen? If the trucker is hitting the road, wouldn't the girl get out before he heads out? Sorry, I'm just so lost on how this can happen.....:gaah:

Also... where do you tune into the podcast?/radio show? that was discussed?

Cheers

Welcome SchrodingersCat!

After reading your post, it reminded me of an article I read of a young woman who was in a bar (with her sister no less) and was "escorted" out of the bar by 2 truck drivers who put her in their truck and drove away. Her sister looked around and she was gone. This young woman was able to escape (at least one state away from the bar) and run into a business and tell them her story. It showed me how quickly someone can dissapear and end up far away! Wild story!

Thank you for the Welcome Kat... and just call me Cat, it's what I've gone by as a nickname since I was about 7 :)
That IS a gasp of a story! I hope both girls ended up ok.
I don't know, I know abductions happen, and have been in odd positions myself when I was younger thinking I was one of the invincibly immortal that when I look back now I shudder... but I guess because I wasn't that easy to hold down then thanks to my exBoxer Daddy's tips and tricks I just feel it would take a hella lot to come close to getting me in that position. From ex-stripper who hung out with bands then bikers... to hitchhiker.. to mouthy brat teenager, I have to say, I've had many attempts at many things but have always been lucky to have seen it coming or someone else seeing it go down before I reacted. But wow the stories... will open up more as I get a little more settled, though that isn't really the reason I came to the website. :)

Thanks again Bessie! Do you give a heads up somewhere also when the podcasts are going to be aired in case we want to call in live?

Cheers

Thanks yet again! I'm off to subscribe, and now, I promise I'll let you be free from all my questions for a little while and start navigating on my own! lol. Already found I can make my own blog posts and now the babbling has already begun. Loving the site... and now to slip back into topic. :)

Cheers!

Not unless you turned tricks but you may have known a few strippers that did turn tricks once in a while so a little insight as to the dangers they face is helpful.

Please contact Bessie via PM if you are affraid. But I assure you that we are very interested to hear your stories. We really are concerned about your safety and others around you. Sincerly. No one should have to live in fear of being killed regardless of what they do for a living or how they live their life. It is a free country and you will not be judged here. We need to work together to stop the killers and the sex workers are the key to doing so. As a trucker we see alot but you see so much more and your insight is crucial to identifying these men/women serial killers. Please encourage other sex workers to come online and share with us as well.

lol... I have to say NewAngles... you made a statement that eluded to feel that you thought, unless I was turning tricks, my stories are probably mild... This was the 80's... the t-bar/g-string bylaw was STILL in effect AND every exotic dancer/burlesque dancer/stripper/gogo dancer, had to be licenced to work in any bar in Toronto because of the Emanuel Jaques incident. The main bar I worked in, The Zanzibar, in Toronto was the one right across the road from the "said incident" in this article: http://torontoist.com/2016/06/historicist-emanuel-jaques/ .
The stripping world became extremely high strung because the patrons were pent up... hookers and pimps outside the doors trying to flag the customers, pimps trying to constantly "bump" us dancers... us getting rolled by a hooker with scars and knives... customers who thought they were priviledged for paying for drinks or tipping you... also, if you lived close to the bar you worked at, as I did living in Regent park, you had to be careful walking home if you couldn't flag a cab... the cabbies ALSO trying it on with you....
THEN there was the stint I also did while working, doing inbound phone `work` and listening to some of the twisted fantasies and having to play them out... wondering if these people just didn`t go out that night to act on them, or if they kept it to phone fantasy... no NewAngles... I didn`t turn tricks, unless my work also as a proffessional Domme is consider by some to be tricks, but that's another story and can of worms... but believe me... I have some `stories to tell`.... No, I`m not afraid.... I`m just not familiar with this crowd yet... I`ve read this thread from beginning to end so far and everyone seems decent and not judgey... but... even though I haven`t attached my fb to the links area, I`m not hard to find, BUT... I`ll need to familiarize myself a bit more before being comfortable enough to tell some of my tales of old and wondering if ANY of the twisted people I met may have possibly been more than just a sick Joe next door..... In time... after I `get to know` you all a wee bit better and feel I`m talking to friends and not strangers.

Cheers
The Catt :cat:

... and yes... Catt was one of my stage names, the final one I changed it to before I left when VIP rooms came about and the business changed to any ole grope for a buck.... besides that, I`m well educated and was when I was dancing as well, but, the pay, tips and table dances make you WAY more money in a week than most jobs in my field at that time could make in a month. And drinking and meeting people on the job was encouraged. Perfect for me who was just coming out of my teens, did a lot of schooling and wanted to have fun. I met a lot of great people, bands, bikers, etc... and I also met a LOT of bad.

And I`m sorry if what I said came off a bit snippy, but I felt your statement meant if one isn`t pulling tricks in the sex biz... then it`s a pat-pat on the head and please connect us to someone who`s seen DANGER... I can assure you... talk to any Dancer and they`ll have at least ONE story of someone figuring when work is done the show must continue... after all, they paid for tabledances, drinks... and these days, VIP room.
Walk a mile in our heels then decide whose seen danger. My stories will come as I feel comfortalbe, not to prove to someone who thinks I didn`t enounter danger, wrong.

Cheers...

Welcome Cat! I for one very much look forward to your insight into the underworld workings of the trade.

I am very thankful that you are here and are willing to tell your story. Your past work sounds very interesting to say the least.

I wrote this in another thread but wanted to share in this thread as well.

I seen on the news where a message was written on a pilot truckstop bathroom. In black ink it said t.s.k. find her body at mm 168 you guess the state and highway t.s.k

This was written on the wall in a men's restroom and according to the reporter someone found it and told the manager and also contacted the news agency. The news agency showed a highway patrol who says they are taking this serious and investigating but are hoping it is just a hoax.

Awesome questions Sherlocknows. I got into this business for love. I loved my heroin addict boyfriend. One day he was wretched sick and said Lets go to blah blah street and so began my career of one strange man a day to take care of him and I. Of course there is no way I could live in the shame without meth so I started doing meth.
I am betraying my addiction on a daily basis now so why not. Meth made me morally loose just enough to do this pretend I love you sex. That is one of the things I call it. PRETEND I love you sex. Even though for the counterpart of this equation it is really I dont want to know you, I certainly dont love you, and. there will be no cuddling. For me its I dont want to know you, I can pretend I love you for the money, and if I never have to see you again and face my shame that is cool. The disconnected sex equation.
Women are sexually repressed by design and society.
Men think about sex every seven seconds.
I lived thru this scary life for reasons that I am just being able to understand now. I can no longer do enough meth to kill the shame. Because it is killing my heart. I cannot quit because I will abandon my cause. Essentially I am willing to die to get my message out.
Warning labels on *advertiser censored*
Responsibility to the man

One more thing I think the media should be ashamed of themselves painting escorts to be the bad girls here until one of us ends up dead. Then its poor little sex worker. I know why these girls are getting killed I just figured it out and I am what you call one of the "smart lu

So many reasons so little time to type them all it hurts my hand.
Jmho why these women are getting killed. I might know a thing or two about a thing or two. Oh you know what else makes me believe I am right. The more you can make it not about the money the better they like it. Think about it. Its truly a sick game of trickery and deceit brought on by *advertiser censored* manipulating a mans mind into believing that women approach sex like they do. That is why
I say warning labels on *advertiser censored* and responsibility to the man

To all those hard working trucker's, stay safe. Specially to the female drivers....please be safe. Thanks to honesty, iris and daffodils, and new angles for their experiences and safety tips. Loved your interviews on the podcast.

One of the cases I follow is a UID who was killed in a big rig accident back int he 80s in PA. (Here's the link if anyone is interested http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...tFem-UP16509-30-45-in-big-rig-accident-May-86)

I'm convinced that the UID was a sex worker working the truck stops and am wondering if anyone in this thread has any tips on good facebook groups, forums, etc that might attract people (either truckers or sex workers) who worked the truck stops in the PA, MD, OH, WV regions in the 80s. I'd like to share her picture and story there to try and get some leads.

Thanks
