Sidney & Tammy Moorer, Contempt of Court Hearing, Heather Elvis case, 31 July 2017

Color me confused, par for the course in this case.

PTF- do you have any insight into what is going on? Lack time to go sleuthing for myself : )

The State filed a motion against the Mrs. that stated between June 2017 through July 2017 comments were posted on her Facebook page regarding the facts of the case, witness' credibility and comments about the victim's family. The hearing on Monday to determine whether she violated the order was continued (postponed).

Sid is additionally charged with obstruction of justice and will go to trial August 28. Motions were heard before Judge Dennis on Monday (7/31), who ruled against a motion to quash an indictment on the charge, however, he is considering a motion to suppress an interview Sid had with police.

The State believes comments made on Tammy Moorer’s Facebook page from June 2017 to July 2017 are in violation of the gag order on the case.

A motion filed by the Solicitor’s Office says comments were made on the facts of the case, witness’ credibility and comments about the victim’s family.

This picture is priceless, just like beautiful Heather, and heartbreaking.
How about growing an inkling of conscience and maybe some morals, and give up where y'all hid her. This has got to stop.

Does anybody remember the pics of the interior of their house? The ones that showed the filthy kitchen and bedroom? And if so, does anyone have a link to those? TIA.

I can't find pics, I've only seen pics of the outside and aerial views. This is the police report but it doesn't have photos from inside the home: https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.tow...-11e4-a0f3-3f7fd731a155/552452c44038a.pdf.pdf

Here is an article:

According to the Feb. 21 police report, the Moorers and their children were present during the execution of the search warrant and they were all asleep in the downstairs master bedroom.

One family member was sleeping in an oversized chair while another was asleep on a mattress at the foot of the bed. A third family member was asleep on a mattress in the walk-in closet, the report said.

Police said in the report that three firearms were out in the open. Two long guns were leaning against the wall while a subcompact pistol rested on the night stand beside the bed.

"Overall, the home was in disarray and unsanitary," the officer wrote in the report.

Police further said in the report there was some sort of meat lying on the kitchen island and that it had aged for some time. Cooked potatoes were also on the counter top and had begun to mold.

The report also said trash was left on the counter tops and floors.

Upstairs, the home was in "complete disarray nearly in an unlivable manner," the report continued.

Hundreds of Legos were scattered on the floor with other children's toys, trash and clothes and the backyard was covered in animal feces, according to the report.

Police photographed the home during the search. The report also says investigators learned something "which gave cause for concern during the investigation," but what was learned was redacted from the report.

The report concluded by saying the case would be forwarded to the Department of Social Services.

I have an album of some of the trial pictures but I am missing a few of them. I think some of mine were posted in "real time" during the trial, I'll have to see what I can find. This one is the room where the cameras were (per the friend of the M kid) but are no longer.

IMO
Istiff, I'm just getting a blank page when I click on that link. Can you tell me the thread and post number? TIA.

Yikes! I forgot about all of that, particularly the sleeping arrangements.

Double yikes! I didn't remember that either. So basically these ones live in a dump. Gross. I am surprised that, them being so disorganized at home, were able to pull off a kidnapping and -what I am sure was a murder- without effing up.

Terry Elvis upset at contempt hearing “no show”
8/4/17

Terry Elvis said he was in the courtroom Monday morning expecting to hear a case against Tammy Moorer for contempt of court.

But like others sitting there, he was shocked when the proceedings involved her husband Sidney and not her.

Tammy and Sidney Moorer have been accused of the 2013 kidnapping of Heather Elvis, Terry’s daughter. Sidney’s earlier kidnapping trial ended in a mistrial while Tammy hasn’t been brought to trial yet.

Following the couple’s arrest in early 2014, circuit judge Steven John issued a gag order on all the direct principals of the case.

The circuit solicitor’s office late last week announced that Tammy would be in court Monday on a contempt of court charge for violating the gag order.

RSBM: So thankful for Steven John. Without him putting that gag order in place, I'm concerned those two would never see the inside of a courtroom again. I don't trust that Markley Dennis concerns himself with petty little things like justice.

more on that police audio conversation:

“Ever since me and Heather ended our relationship, well I ended it, ever since that was ended, my wife found out and all that went on, my wife goes to work with me,” Moorer’s voice could be heard saying on the audio recording.

In the interview, Moorer talked about trying to repair trust issues with his wife because she found out he and Elvis were having an affair. He explained to police that his wife kept his cell phone and only gave it to him when he needed to make calls. Moorer adds during the interview that the night Elvis went missing, he wasn’t able to leave his house.

“The trust issue is big,” begins Moorer. “When I go to sleep, I’m handcuffed to the bed. [Tammy’s] the only one with a key.”

“She handcuffs you?” questions the detective.

“That was our agreement for six months,” responds Moorer.

In the interview, police asked Moorer what he thought was going on with Elvis and where she was.

“To be honest, I don’t know,” replies Moorer.

Moorer told police he knew she had a history with leaving and offered information about recent trip she took to North Carolina where she left, turned her phone off, and didn’t tell anyone where she was going.

“I remember somebody asking at Tilted Kilt (Elvis’ employer), ‘Have you seen her or heard from her?’” recalls Moorer. “And I told them, ‘No, I haven’t heard anything from her. Why?’ They were like, ‘Nobody can get in touch with her and her parents are looking for her now.’”

Something :fishy: going on here. I don't trust a word out of any ones mouth tied to this case, with the exception of the innocent.

Someone needs to light a fire underneath Horry County and some housecleaning needs to be done, starting with crook judge Dennis and his carnival of players.

The amount of detail he gives in that story about Heather going to NC is a major red flag for deception. No one relays an interaction like that when they're telling the truth.

"They asked have you seen her or heard from her and I told them no I haven't heard anything from her. They were like nobody can get in touch with her."

The way he says he answered the coworker at Tilted Kilt sounds too formal and he responds using the exact same phrasing they used to ask the question. (e.g., "No, I haven't heard anything from her...") most people would simply answer that question by saying, "no, why?"

He also avoids saying Heather's name and omits the word 'me' from his story. (e.g, "they asked have you seen her" instead of saying "they asked ME if I'd seen her")

This may seem like I'm nitpicking, but our subconscious minds often reveal thoughts that we'd rather keep hidden through the words we speak and the ways in which we speak them.

IMO, they are both liars that like to lie...so we'll probably never get the truth. And for Heather's family that is just heartbreaking. They deserve answers....they've already lost their daughter, can't change that.

Wow. He said this because he knew her phone would not be on/pinging.
