Terrorist Attack on the Boston Marathon - MEDIA/TIMELINE REFERENCE **NO DISCUSSION**

Keating said he spent more than an hour with Russia’s counterterrorism director and a top deputy at FSB, Russia’s equivalent of the FBI, who both candidly shared information on Tsarnaev, his association with militants and his visit to Russia last year.

“I never thought we’d get that level of information and cooperation from the Russians,” Keating said.

Although it seems they have found and talked with the mysterious Misha, this is a good article on parts of TT's life as recounted by Elmirza Khozhugov, the former husband of Tamerlan's sister, Ailina.

"Of course, I was shocked and surprised that he was Suspect No. 1," Khozhugov said, recalling the days after the bombing when the FBI identified Tamerlan as the primary suspect. "But after a few hours of thinking about it, I thought it could be possible that he did it."

...Tsarnaev became an ardent reader of jihadist websites and extremist propaganda, two U.S. officials said. He read Inspire magazine, an English-language online publication produced by al-Qaida's Yemen affiliate. Tamerlan loved music and, a few years ago, he sent Khozhugov a song he'd composed in English and Russian. He said he was about to start music school.

Six weeks later, the two men spoke on the phone. Khozhugov asked how school was going.

"I quit," Tamerlan said.

"Why did you quit?" Khozhugov asked. "You just started."

"Music is not really supported in Islam," he replied.

"Who told you that?"

"Misha said it's not really good to create music. It's not really good to listen to music," Tamerlan said, according to Khozhugov.

Tamerlan took an interest in Infowars, a conspiracy theory website. Khozhugov said Tamerlan was interested in finding a copy of "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion," a piece of anti-Semitic literature claiming a Jewish plot to take over the world.

"He never said he hated America or he hated the Jews," Khozhugov said. "But he was fairly aggressive toward the policies of the U.S. toward countries with Muslim populations. He disliked the wars."

One of the brothers' neighbors, Albrecht Ammon, recently recalled an encounter in which Tamerlan argued about U.S. foreign policy, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and religion.

Ammon said Tamerlan described the Bible as a "cheap copy" of the Quran, used to justify wars with other countries.

...Khozhugov said Tamerlan did not know much about Islam beyond what he found online or what he heard from Misha.

Mass celebrates the life of Martin Richard in soaring words, song

Seated in the front pew were his family: Parents Bill and Denise Richard, their elder son Henry— who read the second reading at the Liturgy— and Martin's little sister, Jane, 7, who lost her left leg below the knee in the bomb attack. Jane wheeled herself around in a wheelchair — and won a standing ovation from the congregation as she pushed herself up St. Ann's center aisle alongside her friend, Fr. Sean Connor.

Pain constant for family of Boston bombing victim

Boston erupted in bliss when the Red Sox won the World Series. But the Richard family was left with one thought: "Martin would have loved this."

Martin Richard, 8, stood on the fence along the finish line of the Boston Marathon, cheering on the runners with his parents, Bill and Denise, his 7-year-old sister, Jane, and his 11-year-old brother, Henry.

Report suggests alleged Marathon bombing mastermind was 'hearing voices'

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A report released following a 5-month investigation by a Boston newspaper suggests alleged Boston Marathon mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was hearing voices and that he may not have been "radicalized" prior to the April 15 attacks.

FOX 25's Heather Hegedus spoke with one of the lead reporters in the Boston Globe investigation Sunday. David Filipov says he didn't find a smoking gun, instead he ruled some theories out while coming across some new ones.

Boston Marathon Bombing Trial: Judge Moves Start Date to January

A judge has granted a two-month delay in the trial of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev, moving the start of the trial to January 5, 2015. The trial was slated to begin in November.

But Federal Judge George O'Toole Jr. rejected a request for a change of trial venue, ruling it will be held in Boston.

Jury selection for the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused in the Boston Marathon attacks, begins Monday. Those chosen from a pool of about 1,200 will decide whether Tsarnaev planned and carried out the twin bombings that killed three people and injured more than 260 near the finish line of the race on April 15, 2013. If they find him guilty, they will decide whether he should be put to death.

Seating a qualified jury will be difficult, court watchers say, and could take weeks. It's as important as anything that might happen in the courtroom after jurors take their seats.

"This jury selection process is going to be like very few others in a federal criminal case," said Jeremy Sternberg, a former federal prosecutor who is a partner at Holland & Knight in Boston. "It's going to take a very long time. ... Its importance cannot be overstated."
