I would like to thank EVERYONE for their continued love, support, and prayers during this tough time for me and my family. The response concerning the death of my daughter has been absolutely breathtaking. We all thank you.
Thank you so much for the updates, Lyric.
Do you know how Austin is?
According to White County Sheriff Oddie Shoupe, the caller stated a stabbing had taken place at a Johnson residence, on Luna Road, in White County. Shoupe said his officers went to two Johnson residences but could find no sign of a stabbing......
According to Shoupe, when officers spoke to the victim, who has now been identified as Johnson, at the hospital, Johnson told officers that his parents were residents of Luna Road and that after being stabbed at his home on Rice Road, he fled to his parents’ house. His sister then drove him to Highlands Medical Center.......
Johnson was then transferred by helicopter to Vanderbilt in critical condition, although by March 20 Andrews says his condition was listed as stable.
In an exclusive interview following the funeral, Johnson's mother told News 2 Cash's murder has driven a wedge between the families.
Tina Johnson described her son as distraught after learning the Cash family would only allow him and his family to attend Courtney's funeral not her burial.
Masciarella has a lengthy criminal history, with 20 entries into the Putnam County jail.
He's also been arrested in Davidson, Smith, Jackson, Cumberland and Knox counties on charges ranging from drug possession to aggravated assault.
More recently, Masciarella was arrested in May of 2013 on charges of domestic assault and vandalism.
And so it begins....
I had a feeling that things were not going to go well and all I can say is, Lord protect the child.

I was looking for this video, which talks about WM being charged with domestic assault against Courtney's sister, Cara Cash. It is known that they were in a relationship at one time and that is how everyone knew each other.

What a horrible thing to do to him!
That makes me so sad. Why would they do such a thing?
The fact that Austin and his family left, after being asked to, shows me that they are good people.
A judge has denied a request to bar cameras from further court proceedings in the case against a man accused of stabbing Johnny Cash's great-niece to death.
During a hearing in Putnam County Wednesday, the lawyer for Wayne Masciarella asked for no cameras to be present at further hearings in the case. The judge denied that request, and set a preliminary and bond hearing for April 23.
Masciarellas attorney had hoped that cameras wouldnt be allowed in the courtroom Wednesday, but the motion to limit media coverage was overruled earlier this month. Douglas Dennis, Masciarellas appointed attorney, believed that such media attention may taint the jury pool.
The ruling means the Herald-Citizen and many other media outlets will be present at the Putnam County Courthouse as this trial unfolds.

An emotional Johnson also said he performed CPR on Cash as her condition deteriorated.
Johnson sustained a stab wound to the head and lung.
"I slid her down in the floor and I started giving her CPR and she was looking at me and I was giving her CPR and blood was squirting out of my lung," Johnson recalled.
He continued, "I was so desperate to bring her back to life and on the couch. The last thing, she looked at me and said, I love you, and I said 'I love you, too,' and she said, I'm sorry, and I said, It's okay, baby. It's okay.
Masciarella's defense attorney Douglas Dennis told a very different story.
Johnson said he and Cash weren't doing drugs with Masciarella. Dennis doesn't believe that's the case.
Dennis claimed Cash died from a not life-threatening wound that wasn't treated.
He said they were avoiding the hospital because they didn't want DCS to take their child.
"If I know that he has had his child taken away and it was because of drugs. That's relevant," Dennis said to a judge.
