I think when she is in the "custody" of LE that they set them up somewhere to reconnect with the family.
Yes, that's exactly what will happen. They will be safe, in an undisclosed location, most likely with LE presence and trauma experts present.

I read she is being flown back to Tennessee today.

On this link above, scroll down to a video that I had not seen before. There are two videos at the link. The second one is about 6 minutes long, and is from today and includes new information and interview with TBI spokesperson. He will have to be formally charged with Federal charges (in addition to the others today at 11 am Pacific) before he leaves California.

You can see the creek in this news video and get a better feeling for the area around the cabins. It was beautiful, but I wonder if the cabin had heat or a bathroom. And it doesn't look like it has windows. To me it is more of a shed than a cabin.

See my above link with drone video. It does have windows and or screens imo

She barely spoke': Caretaker reveals how he helped police bust armed Amber Alert teacher and his student, 15, in 4am raid - as criminal complaint shows kidnapper refilled his Cialis prescription before skipping town
Griffin Barry helped police arrest Tad Cummins, 50, who had been on the run for more than a month after kidnapping former student Elizabeth Thomas, 15
The 29-year-old man is originally from Tennessee but now works as a cabin caretaker in northern California
He says that Cummins and the girl, who were going by the names John and Joanna, came through the area two weeks ago looking for a commune
They came back on Tuesday, when the commune turned them down
Barry says he let the two stay in one of his unfinished cabins in exchange for work
Wednesday night, a neighbor showed Barry a picture of the missing couple and he immediately recognized them
He then called 911 and police arrested Cummins in a raid the next morning
Criminal complaint released Friday shows Cummins refilled his Cialis prescription before leaving town

oh boy, I'm a mess. I just reposted your video after watching it. Three all-nighters in a week apparently makes a person space :)

'She spoke very few words and he would try and like, talk for her a lot,' Barry told KRCR. 'He was likely clearly keeping her separate.'

'He would talk for her a lot and kept her separate, you know,' Barry told WBIR. 'And a couple of times he always kept her in the car and he would be like 'she's asleep,' you know, and I'm like okay. I was kind of telling some people , you know, she never really looks at me and she's always talking for her. I was like, whatever, they're on hard times or something."

Among all the other torment she was going through, I can't help but think she was probably cold in that cabin.

The cabin is located in a remote area of the county, two hours away from the sheriff's office. Authorities had a difficult time getting to the cabin, as there was snow on the ground.

Officials note in the affidavit that not all evidence and information about the incident is included in public court records. "Because this affidavit is being submitted for a limited purpose, I have set forth only those facts necessary to establish probable cause for the offense, except where otherwise indicated, all statement referred to herein are set for in substance and in part, rather than verbatim and in full."

She's 15, even if she went willingly it's not the same as if someone is 18, of legal age, and goes willingly. As a 15 year old, she is underaged, hence, against the law for the adult involved in taking her over state lines.

Yep -- it's like statutory rape (which also may figure here, certainly) -- someone under 18 cannot, may not, give "consent" because s/he is a minor and does not have the authority to give consent. Period.

The Feds may throw the Mann Act against him (if this has already been mentioned, I must have overlooked/missed it, so please forgive the repetition)...

The Mann Act was initially enacted to punish ones who carried women or slaves across state lines for prostitution, but it also covers just taking a minor over a state border for the purpose of the perp planning to have sex with the minor.

From Wiki:

[h=3]Notable prosecutions under the Mann Act[/h]...
Brian David Mitchell - Former street preacher and pedophile; convicted in 2010 of interstate kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor across state lines in connection with the 2002 abduction of Elizabeth Smart; currently serving a life sentence in federal prison.
Convicted 2010
...
Although the law was created to stop forced sexual slavery of women, the most common use of the Mann Act was to prosecute men for having sex with under-age females.[SUP][4][/SUP] The phrase "immoral purpose" in the statute allowed an extremely broad application of the law following the United States Supreme Court ruling in Caminetti v. United States (1917), which held that "illicit fornication", even when consensual, constituted an "immoral purpose."

Detectives found two loaded guns, a 9 mm pistol and a Ruger .380, as well as numerous different license plates inside the cabin.

During a Wednesday press conference, when asked if Elizabeth went willingly, TBI said they did not know yet, but it didn’t matter whether she went willingly or not. “At the end of the day she’s 15 years old, she’s a young girl that’s with a grown man that’s 50 years old. He needs to be held accountable for kidnapping this girl.”

To no one in particular: can we please stop asking if MCET went along willingly? She is 15. There is no "willingly." I could scroll and roll no longer.

It's there but all redacted with gray bars; subscription needed?

Elizabeth Thomas is on her way back to Columbia this morning, the Thomas family attorney told The Daily Herald at 7:35 a.m.

The 15-year-old high school freshman has not spoken with her family, but she’s expected to talk with them in the next hou
