I remembered this case and did a little follow up. It seems as though the owner of the house, James Matisi has had the charges brought against him dropped by a grand jury. http://grantsrant.wordpress.com/2008/08/18/update-richardson-murder/
I also found quite a few instances of him responding on message boards regarding his involvment in the case, whether or not it is truly him, I don't know. He seems to claim total innocence in regards to both drugs and the crime itself, which I would like to believe, especially for his son's sake, but it contradicts what the police report says. Anyway, this was such a gruesome crime, especially to have a child there in the same house, I wanted to share the update.

Thanks for the update Jesikah. Like you, I would like to believe that Matisi is innocent, at least for the sake of his son. But at the same time, I believe that you are the company you keep. Whether he did the drugs, or whether he had a part in this girl's murder, he brought these people into his and his son's life. His son will definitely pay for that, mentally at the very least. Is there anyway I could get you to either post or PM me links for the message boards where JM is posting, if it really is him. I am very interested in reading that.

Yes it is me who posted the responses in Grant's blog. To save time and effort, I am posting updated information and responding only to his thread. I promised Grant that I would do that and give him an interview as soon as I have the situation with CPS or DFPS resolved so I can see my son again. He is already back home with his mother.

Eric Ziegler was sentenced to life in prison for murdering and dismembering an East Dallas woman one year ago...

Ziegler was found guilty Tuesday of the murder, in which he strangled her with a belt, stabbed, dismembered and placed her remains in trash bags because she would not play a sex game with him.
