UK- London Nine injured in suspected acid attack, children among injured 01/31/24

From this article:

Commander Jon Savell said: 'Based on the distinctive clothing he was wearing at the time of the attack and property found on his body, we strongly believe we have recovered the body of Ezedi.
So, it took three weeks, but thank all that is good, it is over. Now that mother and her babies can focus on healing, knowing he's no longer out there as a threat.

And to think somebody put all this effort to come from far away country,
only to be found as a drowner in the new country.

Throwing away the new chance of better life by letting the hatred win.

Good job Police and the Divers!!!

Glad he has been found.

Once again huge credit to the wonderful divers.

I hope this brings some closure and reassurances to the victims and hopefully they can begin the recovery process
<modsnip - not LE friendly>
The body was spotted by surface crews after it had inevitably resurfaced, as happens with most bodies that go into rivers.

This isn't his first foray into criminality, apparently.

There have already been questions asked as to why he was granted permission to stay after he was convicted of sexual assault.

Is that right? Wow. What's the point of diver's then?!
Divers do vital work in difficult conditions. I think most people have no idea of the challenges a body of water like the Thames presents. It's tidal, with big fluctuations in water level. It's very silty, meaning visibility is close to zero. It's freezing this time of year. Add to that it's an incredibly busy waterway with boats in continuous motion up and down it. Just because they didn't find this body, this time doesn't mean they don't find any, ever.

Unrelated but a fifth body has been found.

Clapham chemical attack suspect was granted asylum despite concerns over honesty

[…]

The Clapham chemical attack suspect, Abdul Ezedi, was granted asylum by a judge who accepted he was a Christian convert despite concerns about his honesty, court documents have revealed.

Previously confidential documents disclosed on Tuesday showed how Ezedi, who police believe attacked a mother and her daughters with a strong alkaline substance on 31 January, had been allowed to stay in the UK despite a sexual assault and exposure conviction.

The papers set out how the Afghan national successfully proved his religious conversion from Islam. They also showed those who supported him during the process were aware of his crimes, and that he had to be in effect escorted during church services as a result.

Ezedi’s body was pulled from the River Thames last month. His conversion to Christianity and the role that played in his asylum claim raised questions of the role faith leaders play in conversions and asylum applications.
