Deceased/Not Found UK - Nicola Payne, 18, Coventry, 14 Dec 1991

How did the 2 “prime suspects” know that Nicola would cross the Black Pad at that time? There were no text messages or widespread internet use. What ever happened to the blue Capri? And W hat of the story about somebody encountering 2 men acting strangely in Coombe Park later that day?
The “alibi” of being in Rugby overnight was a definite lie. But too many unanswerable questions. And no body of course....

Bumping because it's been 31 years, and her mum and dad are getting old and suffering from health issues. It'd be great to give them some closure before it's too late.

This breaks my heart.

Sadly, Nicola's mum has passed away recently, not knowing what happened to her girl :'(

Was just reading these articles that I think were posted today 7th March 2023.

What gets me is the many instances of "new information" coming to light at different periods over the last 3 decades. One presumes these were probably "tip offs" from people and possibly including many time-wasters.
But what makes people suddenly want to contact police years and years after events. It all seems a bit random.
"Pub talk" and rumour?

E.g. From the articles: -

"Then in June 2001, part of the Oxford Canal, in Ansty, was dredged after a witness came forward with fresh information, but nothing was found."

"In June 2012, following a tip off, police began searching land".

Rest in Peace Maz, I'm sorry you didn't get closure before the end.

I cannot believe we haven't found Nicola after all these years.

I always wonder if that pair of neerdowells didn't dump the body off the ferry when they fled to France.

Link to article mentioning the trip to France

Having watched the new Prime docu
The strange thing is why Nicola’s boyfriend’s family didn’t appear to give a toss about her disappearance.
Why is Jason Cooke not really concerned? Why do the Payne brothers hate the Cookes so much? Does Nigel really still have that power over people??

Bizarre, have literally just watched episodes 1 & 2 of The Never Ending Murder on Prime, come on here and Nicola's thread shows up.
Heartbreaking for Nicky's family and friends to still not have closure.
Saddened to see Nicky's Mam passed away without finding her. X

I’m watching it now and wondering the same!
To me it’s like they are implying that the Cooke’s know what happened and have covered it up!

I've just watched the documentary and hopefully there will be calls to the police from it.
My gut tells me that they've always had their men, they just need better evidence. Then a double jeopardy trial. Jmo. Imo.
My heart goes out to the Paynes and Nicola's son..i wish for a resolution soon.
