It is very important that members know how to quote properly, because it can end up looking like you are the author of someone else's words or vice versa.

It is a copyright violation to use the words of other people as if they are your own. Always include a link to the article the quote is from.

These are ways quotes can be done:

Select/highlight the material you are quoting, expand the tool bar and click on the Quote marks. Beneath that insert a link or hyperlink to the source of the information.

OR

Select/highlight the material you are quoting and use italics and another colour, with a link or hyperlink to the source of the information.

OR at the very least ...

Manually insert " " marks at the beginning and end of the quoted material and provide a link or hyperlink to the source of the quoted material.
