Leon Roberts, 25, and his life-long buddy Tristan Charlier, 24, were gunned down Wednesday at a bus stop in a desolate part of Charlotte Amalie, capital city of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Charlier and Roberts, both from Jamaica, Queens, had arrived at noon Tuesday and were found less than 15 hours later at a bus stop on Veterans Drive, St. Thomas' main road. They had been shot repeatedly.
They had their cash and their personal belongings had not been taken, leading police to rule out robbery as a motive. The men had been enjoying the island's party scene, but left friends in the Green House bar about midnight buying pizza at a gas station 1-1/2 miles from the bar at 1 a.m.
