3/11/19 Update: Perry, 34, admitted to taking part in Heisler's kidnapping by pleading guilty to kidnapping resulting in death. Magistrate Judge Dustin B. Pead said Perry was appearing in federal court due to "felony information" filed by prosecutors, which bypasses a grand jury. Under Perry's guilty plea, she is sentenced to a total of 420 months, or 35 years, in federal prison for kidnapping Heisler — an event that led to his death just days later. The charges she faces in Arizona and in Washington County will be dismissed in light of the plea deal, and she will also give up her right to appeal. Perry's official sentencing is scheduled for June 4.
