Human skeletal remains found in the woods in York County last month are now under examination by forensic anthropologists and medical examiner’s office staff, police say.
The human remains found May 19 off Goosley Road have been transported to the Central Laboratory Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond for examination and testing, according to a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
Police have also taken DNA samples from family members of the owner of an identification card that was found with the remains, the post said.
