That doesn't sound good. Hope she is okay.
Granite Falls resident, Angela Marie Gilbert, 41, was last seen while taking a walk with a friend on Thursday, June 2. Gilbert and her male friend were walking on private timberland near 21400 block of 119th Street NE in unincorporated Granite Falls.
The body pulled out of the Stillaguamish River last weekend was that of a man who was reportedly the last person to see a Granite Falls woman before she disappeared in June, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
So why were a 41 year old woman and a 23 year old guy hiking together?
Apparently, from reading comments in newspaper articles online, the Granite Falls area has quite a colorful, violent history. A few years back a mother and daughter were shot to death, just last week two campers were found dead from probable gunshot wounds, and then there are tales from others of nearly falling in harm's way by weirdos in the area. I also remember reading about other women who went missing and are still unsolved cases. Are these all random cases or are a few of them related? Or maybe something's in the water.
LAKE STEVENS, Wash. -- Hope is fading for the family of a missing mom in Snohomish County.
Police don't have much to go on in the case of Angela Gilbert's disappearance more than six months ago.
SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. A body found in the Stillaguamish River has been identified as Colt White, a friend of a Granite Falls woman who has been missing since early June, the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office said Tuesday.
The Snohomish County sheriff's Major Crimes Unit investigation is ongoing, but there is no new information to share, spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Tuesday.
