Who is searching cuz I live right down the road and I never hear a peep about this

‘We’ve got to move forward’: Family, friends hold vigil for missing Spanaway woman
Family and friends of 22-year-old Rio Boyd gathered Sunday for a small candlelight vigil. The event was held at the Mountain Valley Community mobile park where she was last scene almost a year ago.www.fox13seattle.com
All of the quotes from the article/ video are from the beginning/middle. Closer to the end of the video, dad says, “It’s the past, you gotta let it go, personally I think that’s just the key to it all, you gotta move forward, and the future is more interesting, it’s better for us, you can’t live on the past.”“"It's been quiet at my house since she’s been gone," said Rio’s father Brian. "I’m just focusing on getting things together."
He said her disappearance has been rough, but that oddly enough, his daughter’s disappearance case has helped him reconnect and brought the community closer.
"It’s opened up life. It’s made things grow," he said. " It’s a weird way of looking at it, but instead of being negative, life goes on. We’ve got to move forward."
Just curious, @BethAnn777, are you alarmed by the fact that her father seems to have accepted that Rio’s not coming back, or is there something else about his remarks that alarms you? I would say the positive spin he is trying to put on her disappearance strikes me as little odd (which he acknowledges himself), but I also haven’t been in his shoes so I feel like I am not very qualified to judge how he is reacting.

A very strange and alarming thing to say about one’s missing daughter, no?
I agree. Really concerningVideo from 2023. What Rio’s father has to say is quite alarming.
This is so sad, the media doesnt like to talk about women who look like her.
I still cant figure what could have happened. STranger abductions are exceedingly rare, I wonder if someone she knew took advantage.
What the.... his daughter has only been missing for a year-and-a-half. Who knows what has happened to her or what she could be experiencing. That is a shocking and unusual reaction, IMO.
Good question. I’m going too dig and see if I can find outYes, very concerning. I know that people process things differently, but I would expect to hear that he has hired a private investigator, not that he has moved on and it's all behind him now. Such callousness makes me raise my eyebrows.
Do we know if her home had been forensically searched?
Per NAMUS:
RBBMHer uncle posted this online: "A day an a half later as her father was calling and calling her new phone, that she had just received about four hours prior to leaving, a neighbor, while walking his dog, heard it ringing and found it on the side of 400 Field Rd. in Spanaway, less than a block from her home. No young lady would just leave her working phone on the side of the road! This raised huge suspicion, worry and fear."

Later that night, her brand new cellular phone was found on the side of the road in the 400 block of Field Road, near Mountain Highway, only about 400 feet from the trailer where Boyd lived with her father.
She has never been heard from again. She left behind her wallet, house keys and identification, as well as a pet dog she cherished.
Boyd's family describes her as a talented artist who was interested in drawing and glass blowing, and was considering a career in the arts. Little information is available as to her fate.

Ok, I hope I did this right. Long time lurker but only my 4th post. I remember reading about her on here when she first went missing and after reading through updates it got me to looking at her circumstances of disappearance a little closer. Sorry to quote so many posts, but IMOO I think there was confusion whether or not Rio made it to her friend’s place in the beginning. But with the Uncle stating that the dad was calling her phone a day and a half later and not that night, then maybe LE discovered something while initially doing their investigation that would make them believe that either her phone was placed there later or she was seen after she left her trailer at 6p.m. that night. And maybe that is why they were asking for the extended surveillance dates and times?
Also,The Charley Project’s circumstances of disappearance is different from NAMUS which makes me wonder if LE in charge of the NAMUS page updated where she was last seen at some point in there investigation? Would they be the ones to create the page and update it? The Charley Project also states her phone was found that night but it was not found until 2 days later according to NAMUS. NAMUS also clearly distinguishes the two trailers from being two different locations and says being seen after dark. How much is 6p.m. “after dark” in that area during that time of the year? Or could this be later in the night that they are referring to?
My heart breaks for Rio and I hope she is found (whether she is safe or for family closure)
