But it isn't a quote from anyone, certainly not the DA or the Sheriff's office. It is an additional comment by the reporter inserting the case 'de facto' knowledge.

“What would actually make the case is evidence that is clearcut,” Staton said.

And in saying that it would seem they do only have evidence that is "sketchy", and from that i don't see how they can be sure of anything much? It really is such frustrating commentary on this case so far, all of it!
