Personally hope it's manslaughter.....however I think it will be a hung jury.

I voted "Not Guilty"

I've taken the whole night into account when deciding though. The fact that earlier on in the night, GT did ask Warriena if she would like to go for a walk to get something to eat and go to the Casino, to me at least, proves he did not ask Warriena back to his apartment for the sole purpose of getting her drunk and having sex. The fact that she turned down both, proves to me she wanted to be in his apartment and did not want to leave. Later on in the night, GT also offered to cook her something to eat which she refused. I think these are the reasons or part of the reason, the Defence has said GT was kind and gentlemanly, and to be honest, I too think that is showing an act of kindness and being a gentleman.

Yes, Warriena biffed rocks at him, Yes, GT poured her drinks and she may have even poured her own at times, we don't know for certaint who was pouring the drinks at every top up! Warriena definitely drank the beers as her fingerprints were found on the bottles and unfortunately, chose to carry on drinking, she chose to stay in the apartment, she did not want to leave. GT too, did not want her to leave until things really got out of hand. Just a little too late. :( Had Warriena walked out the front door and gone to a neighbouring apartment and asked for help, she would still be here today. Had GT called the cops earlier on in the night, Warriena would still be with us today. I get the feeling, (just a feeling) neither Warriena or GT wanted the cops involved at all during the night.

I think the testimony from the witness who testified when he glanced up he saw Warriena's feet secured on the concrete ledge cannot and should not be ignored. They exchanged words--if she was terrified of GT (who was on the other side of the glass door) it is of my opinion she would have screamed out something along the lines of "He's trying to kill me" ... she didn't. All she said was, "She wants to go home" not once but twice, whilst the witness told her she can't come down this way and to get back!

My heart is heavy, I find the situation they put themselves in that night extremely sad. I couldn't blame one without blaming the other though because they were both irresponsible and for that reason, I have no option other than to vote "Not Guilty"

Ultimately I don't think any conviction, if obtained, would stand up to the scrutiny of an appellate court but in the short term I'd put the chances at something like -

2% - Guilty of murder.
8% - Hung jury.
15% - Guilty of manslaughter
75% - Not guilty of either murder or manslaughter.

I think he'll be found not guilty, and I think that's a shame because he's a despicable creep and he'll be emboldened to carry on.

Though I feel he should be convicted of manslaughter or reckless endangerment, I voted "not guilty". JT is going to walk like OJ Simpson.

I agree with big bread, and like OJ, I feel like it will only be a matter of time before he re-offends and finally winds up locked away forever.

Ugh. I slept through the verdict and now our thread is closed for review. I just wanted to say how sad I am. Warriena is well beyond this sphere, soaring with the Stars, however her family is here with us coping with these grievous wounds. My heart goes out to them in their time of absolute despair and disbelief. Rest assured Karma will have the last word.....
