Thompson is presenting 9 days of testimony and evidence within (as of now) almost two hours. #HollyBobo

True. But she is arguing the evidence in the case, which is EXACTLY what it's for. There is a lot of evidence to be argued, and it's crucial for the defense that the jury knows what holes exist, so they can know where to look and consider and compare during deliberations. She's gone through and put the pieces together that are hugely problematic, contradictory, weak, or purely unsupported, so she doesn't have to hope that the jury will simply stumble into them. She's doing a great job of showing how the whole case depends on JA's story and how/where "JA said so" might not be compelling after all.

I've been highly critical of the defense atty during this case and how she's handled testimony, but this is excellent lawyering.

Respectfully disagree. This is not excellent lawyering. Hitting the jury over the head and loudly rambling at them is not considered excellent closing argument, certainly not by people who have public speaking experience and training. However, if the goal is to lose a jury in the weeds, this is one good way to approach it. The time for proving anything was during the trial itself.

Is a court reporter having to keep up with all this? If so, bless her heart!!!

Why not put all of it in the river though??

That I can't speak to, but he told Corey Rivers they cut her up and put her different places. So, whether it was the river or another lonely ridge, you would probably dump the blanket with the last of the body. Or, if it was recognizable, probably burn it.

Defense: Zach Adams has said some silly, stupid stuff over the years -- that's doesn't mean he killed #HollyBobo

Defense: "This case is absolutely so emotional. This is a beautiful young woman that has been killed in this case." #HollyBobo

Replying to @bchapman_WREG3
Defense bringing up convicted rapist Terry Britt again. #HollyBobo

They sure do! They train for 280+ wpm. The best court reporters achieve well over 300 wpm. I'm friends with a CR and even took a class many years ago, seeing if it was something I might be interested in pursuing. Turns out I was more interested in what was being argued (and wanting to argue back, which will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone. ;-) ).

lol I have several windows open to listen to the closing arguments and have some on mute. At times I am losing the audio for one and switching to another. When the audio returns there is an overlap of voices. I am playing audio musical chairs. :floorlaugh:

I almost turned this off, but then she made it worth sticking around.

Defense says people who have "ready-made alibis" are suspicious, referring to Britt and wife having an alibi ready #HollyBobo

I actually think she has been compelling, and has made a TON of incredibly strong points. Maybe it's just me. But I'm reading tweets from those in the courtroom saying the jury has remained completely engaged with what she's saying, throughout. We'll see where it goes.
