Good morning! I promise to be here more today. Yesterday was a total snooze, and I read most here and at BK this morning to catch up for the time I missed.
Instead, I watched "It's A Wonderful Life" for the first time and wrapped Christmas presents.
As I follow what Geffner said, I thought that Juan could simply ask about each of the personality traits he said she had trouble with, such as submissiveness and lack of aggression ad nauseum. Then, he could show a few clips of JA's interviews and testimony to counter it. While it probably won't happen, it would be a hoot.
As to the supplemental motion filed yesterday, I have a question for AZlawyer.
Is this a separate motion or an addendum to the original motion argued last week and the week before?
If it is a supplemental motion, is it an effort to stop JSS from ruling on the original motion? Will we have to wait for new arguments before she rules?
It's a separate but related motion. It does not prevent JSS from ruling on the other motion.
iirc, he's a handwriting expert, and the precluded testimony relates to the pedo forgeries. But, its all sealed.
I know he was hired by the State in 2010 and found indented writing on a page of Jodi's diary suggesting that a page was removed. I don't think we've ever seen the indented writing page. It was page 30 of the journal covering April 2008 until her arrest.
From what I understand, she does not get a free appeal if she gets LWOP. She has to hire and pay for an attorney to work on her appeal. And that's just the attempt to get it heard. There is no guarantee either way that she will actually gain another trial on appeal. Although since she thinks she's so good at it, perhaps she'll go the discount route and represent herself.
Either way, you can bet that neither Nurmi or Willmott will be available for hire at that time.
MOO
She gets her attorneys paid for on appeal regardless of the sentence.
