I have a horrible feeling what the outcome is going to be based on what I've read. Hope I'm wrong though! :( I can only think of one reason why it took 28 hours to report her missing..

.@ASPolice #FindBecky remains a "missing persons enquiry" says DI Richard Ocone.

.@ASPolice: "we've found nothing significant" in searches of Trooper's Hill nature reserve. #FindBecky

Nothing to suggest she would be away several days

DI Ocone continued: "It’s completely out of character for Becky to leave without telling her friends or family where she’s going.

"We know she was last at home on Crown Hill, St George, Bristol, last Thursday morning – the 19th of February.

"She took her laptop and mobile phone with her but no clothing or make-up. Nothing to suggest she would be away for several days."

This is what I don't understand. Why would someone take their laptop with them but nothing else? I think that laptop has potential evidence on it. Maybe searches that have been made on Google if you get my drift... All JMO of course :)

I too am suspicious about why it took so long to report her missing, but am trying to stay optimistic for this young lady

Pictures of parents leaving the home

Before the press conference began, police escorted Becky's dad and his wife from the family home.

Police say this is so a thorough search of the home could take place and was 'routine'.

Below are pictures of dad Darren Galsworthy and his wife Anjie as they leave the property in St George, Bristol.

'Nothing significant' found at Troopers Hill

Police say 'nothing significant' has been found at Troopers Hill.

Offciers, including forensic teams, have been at the nature reserve near Chipping Sodbury throughout the day.

But the DI dealing with the case told a media briefing in the last half hour there was little to report.

FindBecky hashtag as police launch online campaign to find her

The police have launched an online campaign to find missing teen Becky Watts.

DI Ocone said: “Being a 16 year old girl, we know that Becky is very social media savvy. I would like to make a plea for everyone to get behind our online campaign to find her using the hashtag #findbecky.

“We’ve also set up a dedicated page on our Force website which includes an online contact form where people can get in touch if they have any information for us.

“Rebecca has a wide range of friends and relatives, some of whom we haven’t been able to contact yet. If Rebecca has been in touch with you, please contact us as a matter of urgency."

Something is off about this, can't put my finger on what but something doesn't feel right

What got me puzzled was where the family said she is a 16 year old girl who is apparently so shy she can't even pay at a till on her own ....... yet they didn't seem concerned that she was out all night, without having been seen by anyone or contactable all day.

If my extremely shy 16 year old hadn't been in contact all day, and it was approaching nightime (and she is apparently scared of the dark), I wouldn't go to bed. Neither would I "assume" where my 16 year old daughter was at night - I'd make sure I knew.

I guess we all have different family rules though.

That said, its always worrying when the last sighting is at home. And when the only other item missing is a laptop, that brings up horrible scenarios (unless she was meeting someone to do coursework, but that hasn't been mentioned).

Just 9 minutes before she was last seen, her best friend text her. Rebecca read the text but didn't reply.. I wonder if it was actually Rebecca that read that text?

Forensic teams searching girl's home

Forensic teams have been pictured going into Becky Watts's home.

Specialist teams have gone into the property after moving the family out.

This is to allow a more detailed search.

I wondered that - it would be very odd for a teenager not to reply to a bestfriend, even with just a smiley face or something.

The phone info is worrying - she was out of contact with family/friends all day long - which they admit is unusual - yet nobody did anything for 24 hours? They say she would have told them where she was 'at some point', but when she didn't, nobody did anything?

'I went to a hospital appointment and left her at home at around 10.30am.
'We thought she might have gone and met her boyfriend and he had texted her to see if she wanted to meet, but got no response.
'We texted her later in the day to see where she was but her phone was off.
'She hadn't mentioned any plans, but would have just gone out if she had some, but she would have let us know at some point.
'The next day when she still hadn't come home we contacted the police.'

I agree. When I read about her being shy and reserved, not being able to ask for something in a shop, or go to a til. I didn't find that part odd as that was so me at 16 too!! I wouldn't say I was reserved but I was shy, I couldn't even answer the phone or make a call, be served alone. And I was superglued to my parents!! They didn't ever not know where I was, and I was never far and not long away from them. I had my reasons though, medical ones that affected my confidence.

It's the rest that has set the hinky meter off.. I'm sitting on my hands because I have been wrong before.

It says in the DM (LINK) Becky was last seen by her stepmother Anjii, where was Dad? Has it been said?

I dont find the father's latest appeal video very believable (the one with Joe Galsworthy, his younger brother), but time will tell I suppose.
