Semantics - Direct flight simply means that an itinerary maintains the same flight number from beginning to end (it could stop multiple times). The term for a flight w/no stops is exactly how it sounds - Non-Stop.

Did Teresa take a "Direct Flight" back to Florida or a "Non-Stop" flight?

i could only find one direct flight that would land at 10AM on JetBlue, so I am clueless since skinner said she arrived at 11PM

IIRC from Duntulum's post, the family usually departed from NY because the Westchester airport had direct flights to Ft. Myers.

This makes a lot of sense in many ways and answers some of the questions I had.
It leaves at a time that would allow her to spend the day with the girls.
It arrives at a time that allows for a reasonable bed time since she had work.
It doesn't involve changing planes, but could allow for a quick bite to eat.

It stops in ATL which is notorious for delays, sounds like it could also be a connecting flight (with the length of the stop over it shouldn't just be refuelling).

IF this plane was delayed and TS called MS to let him know, He in turn would have to call his 'brother' to advise him of the delay.
A quick check of MS phone records would show that call and it would explain why CWW was a suspect so soon after.

Thanks to all those who studied flight times.

When I googled flights from HPN to RSW this morning, I found this one. Not sure if it was available on 6/28 or not, but it sounds more in line with the time she arrived.

they probably used disposable phones and there would be no trace.

When I fly Delta to the west coast, I always have to go from Little Rock --> ATL --> Vegas, SFO, wherever. 427 miles out of the way to the east coast to get to the west coast...that's Delta for ya. But hey, I get the Skymiles.

No need to, it is not illegal to call a friend, nor is it unusual, it only became of interest once TS was found to have been murdered. It is the content of that call that would be valuable, and without CWW or MS sharing that information it is only a lead not evidence.

CWW is not as smart as he believes (and would have us believe), he is currently in a FL jail awaiting trial for murder.

The 'brothers' had no reason to think that either one would be a suspect, MS was out of State and CWW lived out of State, no need to suspect either of them. They hadn't counted on LE investigating in a step by step manner, in order to eliminate those closest to her. They are not smart, not masterminds, they are cold, they are heartless they are a million other things, but I refuse to credit them with an intelligence that they don't possess.

Maybe, but the layovers are so much shorter than some of the other flights. Total trip hours aren't bad.

I did run across a website that gives historical information for flights. You have to register to get the info, but just an email address and password gets you in. When I entered the information for HPN to RSW on 2015-06-28, there is only 1 flight that comes up: JetBlue Flight #1251 - left at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at 10:26 a.m. Seems she must have flown out of another airport to return to Ft. Myers. When I plugged in the info for LaGuardia (approx. 1 hour away from Ansonia, CT, if that is where they stayed), there were 2 flights that arrived at 11:02 p.m. that Sunday evening (Delta and WestJet). Here is the link to that site: http://www.flightstats.com/go/HistoricalFlightStatus/flightStatusByRoute.do

O/t. Let me know if those Sky miles work. I had to use 50,000 one year to go Mpls LA.

Arriving at 10:54pm seems late.

The last Delta flight out of LaGuardia landed 25 minutes early into Ft. Myers on the 28th of June. Flight 4319 landed at 10:37pm. Per flight tracker app.
