VT VT - Brianna Maitland, 17, Montgomery, 19 March 2004

Thinking that it might be a matter of a waiting game until a friendship, romance or business has a breakup, then any former bitter confidantes might speak up.
imo.

Not to sound too pessimistic but I think something bigger than that needs to happen for someone to step forward and start talking. A lot of the shaddy characters that were behind Brianna's disappearance still operate in Vermont as we speak and the whole area there is very afraid of these guys. I was lucky enough to speak with a handful of people who clearly told me that they don't mind talking to me about the case, mostly because I'm not from Vermont which apparently changes the dynamics entirely.

Thank you dotr for putting this info out there, especially with the 12th anniversary fast approaching. I want to take this opportunity to again reach out to people on this website and beyond who are reading this. If you have any information that could be vital to this case, no matter how trivial you think it may be, PLEASE contact the Vermont State Police or contact me here privately. I am still in the process of gathering information, you can contact me anonymously but please think about it. The Maitlands want closure, nobody deserves to go this long without knowing what happened to their missing loved one.

For those of you who are interested, there will be a segment by journalist Jennifer Costa on Brianna this thursday (tomorrow) March 17th at 6 PM ET on WCAX. This segment will feature interviews with her friends and a recap of the events from 12 years ago.

They just released information in the news report that they do have DNA taken from Brianna's car. Did they ever compare it to Ramon Ryans?

That's not really news, the same thing was said in the Disappeared episode in 2011 and in several news articles since. I believe the DNA was not compared to anybody, otherwise we would have had a match for sure. Why it wasn't compared I have no idea but they have nothing to lose at this point by doing some tests. But I don't believe it will be Ryan's DNA since the information that I gathered tells me he was not at the Dutchburn house that night.

I had posted a story at the above link about a man named William C. Workman who was shown years ago allegedly raping an unidentified girl in a video. A check of previous addresses show he had once lived in Saint Albans, Vt. The video came to light in Madison, WI, where he was charged. If someone could get a still picture from the Madison, WI police of the woman shown in that video maybe it could be a match to one of your missing women in the area of Saint Albans, Vermont. I'm not certain that 453 Polly Hubbard is the correct address on Polly Hubbard where he once lived. I don't know what year he lived in Saint Albans,

<modsnip>

The video was reportedly made 15 years before 2009, the year of his Madison arrest. That hasn't been verified. That would be about 1994. The link also has a news article describing the inside of the house where the alleged rape occurred. (pdf file #2) The woman in the video appears to be in her 20's or 30's, with long dark hair and a slender build.

Brianna worked at a second job in St. Albans. Does anyone know the name of that place of employment and whether it was near Polly Hubbard Road?

Brianna was working as a waitress at K J's diner in St. Albans, the establishment has since closed. The diner was on Swanton Rd. which is about 7 miles north of Polly Hubbard Rd. This Workman guy is certainly a very shaddy character but he had nothing to do with Brianna going missing.

This video was posted a month ago to youtube.com. I was wondering if anyone has looked into it. Reading the comments it seems as though this is not her but the man that posted the video claims this was Brianna in 2012 and that she resides in Paterson, NJ. This is interesting because there was a claimed sighting of her in Atlantic City, NJ. Is there any way to get validity of this video? Video posted by 1978mackdaddy.

That mackdaddy guy is a notorious troll who is desperate for attention and should not be trusted. A man did a background on him on a blog and found out that he has three different IP addresses in three different states. He's made similar BS comments about other missing women. Turns out the woman in the picture in his video is actually a pornstar by the name of Remy Lacroix, not Brianna. Look up her pictures if you don't believe me. I've called him out on it and reported his account. He is a jerk who has no respect for missing people and their families.

I figured, I just got confirmation that it is a fake.

I hope Youtube do something about his account, we don't need trolls trying to get attention by exploiting missing person cases for their own benefits. I'm a little bit disappointed that you gave him the attention he is desperately seeking but I understand why you would do it.

This is a great blog for anyone that wants to learn more about the facts of the case and the research that has been put in since 2004 : http://bobkatlair.blogspot.ca/ Make sure to also watch the Disappeared episode if you're just getting started on the case.

This is also a case that haunts me. What could happen to her in such a small amount of time. Several people saw her car that night, including her ex boyfriend (odd that he didn't check on her to see if she was having car problems.) It's a small town and it was late at night. Anything can happen to a young woman in these circumstances. I do not believe she is alive. Let's not forget the fight she got into with another girl not long before she went missing. I DO think this case is solvable. People need to be re interviewed again. Their story may be changed by now or not consistent with their previous interviews. JMHO though.

I believe there was a certain degree of premeditation. My personal belief is that she was ambushed that night by a group of men who were waiting for her on that road and snatched her from her car. I have circumstantial evidence to back that up. She was long gone when her ex-boyfriend passed the abandoned farmhouse around 4 A.M so there’s nothing he could have done. Furthermore, he was coming back from a night of partying in Montreal so he probably wasn’t in a situation to just stop and check on her. I believe he may know a lot more about the case than he's said but he did nothing wrong that night.

I can see that definitely as a possibility! What do you think their motivation would have been?

Well we know for a fact that Brianna was trying to get her life back on track at the time of her disappearance so the logical conclusion I can draw from this is that the people involved got scared that she would talk about their activities to law enforcement so they saw her as a potential nuisance and had to find a way to shut her up permanently. And the best way to silence someone is to make that person go missing.

I was told by one of my main sources that LE know what happened but that they need more people to step forward. The only way for this to be solved is if someone steps forward or if a private investigator keeps pushing and pushing until someone cracks.
It was a while ago that I watched the tv segment about this case.
I came away from that show convinced that one of drug dealers she knew--young, African American; name escapes me--had killed her.
Wikipedia says that the charges Brianna had filed against Keallie Lacross were dropped shortly after Brianna disappeared. Do we know what their confrontation was about?

There was an affidavit that came out in 2006 which claims that a New-York drug dealer named Ramon Ryans killed Brianna after an argument over a drug debt. However, police quickly determined that the person who gave that statement was not credible. As for Keallie Lacross, the confrontation happened because Brianna was allegedly seen flirting with the boyfriend of one of the girls at the party so Keallie took it upon herself to assault Brianna, gave her a broken nose and a concussion. Brianna filed charges but the district attorney decided to drop them shortly after Brianna went missing despite the Maitlands protest.
