On the FB page it says Elizabeth is a "beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend." Why not "wife"? Odd.

NBC News 7 is trying to make the public aware of the missing people in San Diego County. They want to, if possible, help find and reunite missing people with their families.

A short personal video of Elizabeth Sullivan with her children was shown on the news tonight. I wonder what happened to her. I hope she is found.

Makes me think more and more that her family knows or has strong suspicions as to what has happened to her...It's so weird. I always remember what was mentioned on here long ago- that she might have had a boyfriend somewhere in CA...

She also goes by Evie, Edie or Edith Salander? Her married name is Sullivan and her maiden is Ricks. Could she have been married before?

I've also seen differing accounts as to whether the sighting of her at the soccer fields and near the airport are confirmed or not. Per the Charley Project they are confirmed sightings:

The FB hasn't been updated in almost a year...If she's still missing she'll be gone for 2 years this month.

It's not helping that the family is here on the east coast and that makes it difficult to do anything. I don't believe there are any relatives out there beside the husband and children. In addition, I don't believe she had been there but a couple of years at most, so she did not have a big network of friends.

Elizabeth Sullivan was last seen on October 13, 2014 near her home outside San Diego, California. She is a Navy wife to her husband, Matthew, and a mother of two girls. Several days after she was reported missing, Sullivan was allegedly spotted, wearing baggy clothes, near a local soccer field, but the sighting was never confirmed. Her husband and father both continue to lead the search for answers. Matthew told police that he and his wife had been experiencing marital problems prior to Elizabeth's disappearance. Police do not consider Matthew a suspect in the case at this time. There have been no other leads in the case.

More than two years after the reported disappearance of a San Diego woman, investigators confirmed Wednesday the woman's body was recovered two months ago from the water near Liberty Station.

This is sad news. I guess I always thought she left and was still alive someplace. She was found not far from where she lived. Wonder what an investigation now will reveal.

Wow!! I'm shocked to hear the body found in Liberty Bay was Elizabeth!

So curious what investigators think happened since they use the word body opposed to skeletal remains.

There's a picture of where the remains were found, but it doesn't say how long the body could have been there. Hard to believe she wasn't found sooner as it's not that remote a spot. I hope an investigation provides more answers.

Sullivan’s body was found in the water off the 2600 block of Farragut Road on Oct. 6., and homicide detectives have since launched an investigation into her death, San Diego police Lt. Mike Holden said.

Sullivan went missing on the night of Oct. 13, 2014, and last made contact that day via text message, according to San Diego police. Her phone was later shut off.
