Kristen Marie O'Brien was last seen on May 5, 2017.

39 YEAR OLD WOMAN MISSING - SPRINGFIELD, IL:
Kristen O'Brien, age 39, was last seen at 3:00 p.m. on May 5, 2017 driving a white 2003 F150 extended cab near the 2200 block of Blackhawk Rd. in Springfield, IL. It has a large tie-dyed frog magnet above the Ford emblem on the tailgate and IL plate 1395116B. Kristen was reportedly arguing with a male in her driveway on April 30th. On May 1st her house was broken into and set on fire. She was supposed to meet with a fire marshal on May 5th, but she did not arrive at the meeting. Kristen is described as 5'2“ and 130 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has pierced ears and several tattoos, including: an O'Brien crest on her left ribcage, a frog on her right hip, and an orchid on her left butt cheek. She was last seen wearing jeans, a pink short-sleeved shirt, a white visor and tennis shoes. Kristen’s phone is off, her belongings were left behind, and there has been no activity on her bank account.

Before she went missing she was seen arguing with a man in her driveway on April 30. Then on May 1, her house located at the 800 block of east Clay Street was broken into and set on fire around 5 a.m. Kristen was supposed to meet a fire marshal at her home, but she never showed up. She was last seen driving her white Ford F-150 on May 5 around 3 p.m. leaving her boyfriend, Chris Russell’s home, where she was staying more often since her home burned...

the authorities were supposedly monitoring her bank account and there were no transactions made after May 17, but the transactions between the 5th and 17th are all online.

Kristen also goes by the name Kristen Hill or Kristen Braschi and was a resident of Vacaville, Calif. before moving to Illinois. Kristen is 5’2″ to 5’3″ tall and 125 to 135 pounds.

I found the same. Imo there should be more out there. It sounds like it is possible she could be in danger. Hopefully, she is hiding and can come back once it becomes safe for her to do so.

This is my hometown and I've heard absolutely nothing about it! I did search and found that there was a sighting of her in New Orleans in August 2017 where she showed her ID. I'm hoping she just needed to get away and that she is safe, the part of town she was on isn't necessarily shady or questionable, but where is her truck?

This article states she was in the home when it was (presumably) set on fire, which is even more alarming.

"a woman who was staying at the home woke up, smelled smoke, went outside and reported the fire at 5:08 a.m."

A post in June 2018 stated that the family said Kristen was found alive in another state. NAMUS.gov still shows her as missing as of March 2019.

She’s alive and “well”. She is an attention seeker and got what she was going for I guess one could say... she currently is living with her parents because yet another one of her apartments burnt down. Coincidence? Doubt it.
