Is this posturing on the defense's behalf to say they plan to delay justice for three years just going over the tips? Stating the intention to delay or take a long time, is that normal?

This fake interpreter should have been tested for sign, given rating, background check, and with the fact she was interpreting for LE, a specialty certificate/license/rating that she knew any special signs related to,LE/FD/EMT. Hope the State/city as well as deaf community/interpreters work on guidelines/laws/licenses to stop this fraud and make the message going out safe and accurate for the deaf and HH community. This has happened a lot in the recent past.
 
I just caught some information from a person interviewed in the McDonald's parking lot who had information from someone who worked there. She said that the Manager "Stacey" was HD girl friend. This is news to me and maybe that is why he gave her the gun? Then again, who is Stacey, I thought the Manager's name was Delonda.

Holy crow, Did the woman speaking say that a "Stacy " was HED's g.friend and that he was threatening her and that was when police were called??

The plot thickens.
The LE doing paperwork at McDonald's may have saved there lives. Was he planning to shoot them?
 
I keep thinking that whatever happened in the sealed arrest record from NY in 2014, created an internal storm for HD. Was he wrongly accused of something, was he racially profiled and pursued for something he didn't do? I think that may be the bizarre set of circumstances that the family attorney may be eluding to. MOO

Do you think the sign language clown, a woman with a mile long record for fraud, thus in and out of the courts, was put up by the distracting and overly dramatic family attorney's crew to do this?

To then use the incident to cast doubt on the investigation at some future date in court? It would fit my strong expectations of him as previously mentioned, before we knew of the fraud clown signing.

It has a potent whiff of the same, I'm not sure how to put it, maybe cocky disregard for the truth and playing with people heads, a joy of skirting the law and what's right and still shining. I'm not sure how to put it, but it seems like something you'd recognize in people. Maybe a mix between subtle social bully and paragon wannabe... still thinking it through, sorry for thinking out loud.

If it turns out to have been the case that his parent's advocates arranged this, total speculation of course, as all sorts of mysterious, bizarre and taxing things can happen in a case like this to defend the perp, would that be illegal or just an ethical violation?

I get the heebeegeebees around people like that, so it could just be my strong bias in not enjoying dealing with those types.

For some reason I am not getting that video. Only video I see on that page is one with the LEO. He does not talk about a girlfriend. Sound quality is not great though.

My first thought was this is not good and this is going to mess with people's minds and create a lot of reasonable doubt about the integrity of the investigation and ultimate arrest of HED. I don't know if it was purposefully done by the defense team, but it would not surprise me. I'm not deaf so I don't know how that audience felt about the fake sign language person, but I think I would be thinking, "is this a joke?" Not good, not good at all.

Low handed, smarmy, predictable (erm), yuk, I agree. But reduced to a negligible belly laugh from the jury then disgust with the tactics, possibly. Though the progenitor of the clown's motive may not be clear, it's clear she was a bum who knew how to take advantage of the rush to get in, then perform. She was aware that signing would be needed because Monica's mom was hearing impaired. That's a scheme, to me. Wouldn't that be considered a blatant attempt at impeding the investigation and messing with victims parents, emotional distress, if a rich law firm were behind it?

What would the time between the press conference and arrest have been?

Thank you! It did show this time. WOW! Could the manager go by the name of Stacy too? The manager in the picture with the Naiboa family looks older than HED. Not that means anything. The woman in the video stated she lived right there and she knew one of the coworkers it would seem, though they never showed that McDonald's employee in that video. Good catch!

It seems Witness #3 would be the manager. The one coworker who spoke out and said she confronted Trei with a picture/sketch of the killer definitely didn't seem like she would be his girlfriend, but maybe she is witness #2 and the other coworker would be witness #3 and maybe that is "Stacy". He has or had a girlfriend we know for sure because of the friend that spoke out about their lunch (well not really a lunch because Donaldson walked away after the friend bought his lunch) and he definitely mentioned a girlfriend that was still attending college?

How can they let themselves get so easily duped. This is incredible to me and no wonder the public loses trust in their officials. My goodness. I am really upset about this.

There's a chance it could have been set up for this very reason, to provoke this very reaction. There was an interview with the PD spokesmen who describe how he let her in. She seems to have shown up at just the right time for how a press conference works. That requires some media savvy, familiarity with PD media process, playing to the crowd savy. The way she was dressed didn't seem her typical disguise but very right for the occasion. The fraud she committed previously I assume was for financial gain, so what did she have to gain from this?
