Yes, I think that could apply ... if, for example, a person furnished an alibi for someone and knew full well that the someone was not with them at the time when and where they said they were.

The charge brought against [the accused] is that [he/she] assisted [the principal offender] after [he/she] committed the crime of [nature of crime] and gave that assistance with knowledge that [the principal offender] had committed that crime.

I guess the kicker would be whether the alibi-provider knew that the someone had committed the crime. Or if the alibi-provider was covering because the someone had said "I didn't do it, but I can't prove where I was and they will come after me because of that".

Then maybe the alibi-provider might visit a clairvoyant, just to be sure that the someone did not do the crime. Then the alibi-provider could convince his/herself that he/she was not acting as an accessory.

So Brendan says he was with William for 7 weeks on his own when he was 9 months.
So that kind of clears up - William must have been taken from the foster parents a month after placement.

Hi all. I haven't posted in ages, but have been reading all the great posts. I read an article this morning about the toy being found in bushland, and agree with many previous posts about Jubelin seeming to send some type of message.

"Based on the original search and from our investigation its reasonable to draw conclusion that William's disappearance was result of human intervention and not misadventure," said Detective Jubelin.

"[But] I don't want this interpreted that the investigation is coming to an end," Detective Jubelin said. "We are very mindful that it's over 3.5 years since William disappeared and we haven't solved this matter.

"We are going to continue on until we do."

He believes William’s abductor has already come under the investigation’s radar, and the new search, combined with the million dollar reward on offer and the intense media interest would mean “the person involved in this, I am certain” would be feeling “a great deal of pressure”.

Over the next four weeks, police will comb 16 sections of bushland, going sector by sector.

Residents in the quiet Kendall street, where a large police presence and media contingency has set up, are keeping an eye on activity from the verandahs of their homes while getting on with day-to-day life.

Wasn't it said a camp site was found in the bush. Wonder what came of that?
