Hi Amandaaa, I have been reading all your posts on this case and I just wanted to say that they really have helped me to better understand the legal process and what as a layperson, I should be aware of in this case. Having you as a VI Attorney on this thread is very helpful.
Thank you - it can be confusing, that’s for sure... happy to help however I can. :)

I, for one, can't wait for the trial to see what this big Gotcha! moment is going to be.

CW is so stupid that I wouldn't be surprised if he watched a YouTube video about how long it takes strangulation to kill someone, just like Ross Harris watched that hot car video 5 days before he 'forgot' his son in a hot car. MOO
Do you mean CW would intentionally search for a video on strangulation or just come across it like JRH?

It’s tough to have a “gotcha” moment when the whole thing is a prosecution landslide.

That's what was thought about Ms. Anthony, too, although hopefully that was a rare complete travesty and they've learned lessons from it.

Edited because I can't multi-task today apparently

Technology has advanced exponentially that the collection of all the technological forensic science will be invaluable to this case from their computers/cell phones.

If it was locked and they didn’t have the unlock code they would need a warrant from Apple. (I believe she had an iPhone)

Since he gave consent would the prosecutors need to prove he gave consent without being coerced?

Yeah it's likely true that Apple would require a warrant if he didn't have the password. They tend to be super tight about privacy. Unless the phone was in his name. Many are in family plans.

In my practice many spouses can track the other spouse via their phones because the phones are part of family plans and are accessible by them including all data.

I advise clients accordingly.

No they would not have to prove their was no coercion.

They were not investigating him or a crime. It was a welfare check.

SW found out she was pregnant on June 10, 2018 she goes to San Diego on June 23 with Chris gets back on June 26 and goes to North Carolina June 27 on she flys home on August 8 only to leave August 10-12 to go to Scottsdale Arizona . Imo this schedule is not typical for a happily married couple with news of a miracle pregnancy especially with the NC stylist friend commenting about separation. She may have been 15 weeks pregnant but they spent very little time together after she found out she was pregnant. Imo

Well we know they weren't a happily married couple. He killed her.

Yes. The information from his devices will likely be very helpful to the prosecution.

His search history and any communication with his AP(‘s) could bury him.

If SW killed the kids and then he killed her. Then he should have left the kids bodies home and only disposed of her body.

Then he could have played the my wife is missing and my kids are dead at home while I was at work.

Along with the added " Where is she and What has she done" (song and dance). Jmo.

But he didn't do this scenario because he obviously didn't want the kids to be seen by anyone ever again. :(

I think one thing the defense will use is the fact that SW claimed on SM that both her midwife and OB gave their approval for her to wear the Thrive patches while pregnant. I find that very hard to believe. JMO

It is up to an individual OB to decide what may or may not be safe for an indvidual. Even the OB who weighed in here couldn't give a definitive answer. You have no way of knowing what SW's OB approved for her, so assuming she was lying on SM is IMO a stretch. For every OB defense puts on the stand saying Thrive is bad, prosecution will find one who will say it was fine. I had 4 pregnancies with 7 OBs and 2 midwives in total. None of them agreed on what I could and could not have. I have no trouble believing that her OB okayed the patches.

Sealed, pending the results of any court action. The media will challenge any ruling that doesn’t release them.

We should expect a response to the people's motion from the defense, tomorrow.

Chris provided consent to check Shanann's phone and ultimately surrendered it to allow Det. Baumhover to examine it for information leading to Shanann's (and daughters) whereabouts. Det. Baumhover transported the phone to the Frederick Police Department where it has remained since Det. Baumhover collected it.

It would be helpful to hear from @Amandaaa regarding the chain of custody and the legal process to obtain the data from SW's phone once it was in LE custody.

Well if the intersections had cameras it would have recorded his license plate info and a fine would be sent to the home.

And if there are financial difficulties, these fines would add to his debt, not any of SW's debt.
But he doesn't worry about any of this now, he is being housed and fed, and money is not an issue, as he has a Public Defender.

So are you saying they won't be able to see what searches CW did in regards to a premeditated murder plot?

What will be invaluable due to technology?

Im confused because I skipped 20 pages. :(

I'm pretty sure a warrant would be needed if the phone was locked.

Nope, not if he gave consent and unlocked it. Consent trumps everything.

Thanks Gitana. And thanks for all your hard work presenting evidence and explaining things. It really helps.

Has anyone been able to find out what the mysterious Thrive ingredient called "Forslean" actually is? TIA

I'm happy to wrong on this but doesn't doctor patient confidentiality extend beyond death? If so, that might be an issue in terms of bearing out this theory. Jmo.
@Amandaaa can you advise on this matter regarding disclosure of deceased persons medical records? TIA
