Man found at solid waste facility in Moraine says he was assaulted, thrown in trash
Moraine Police are investigating after a man says he was assaulted and thrown in the trash.

Dispatcher sergeants say the man claims he was assaulted in Springfield, thrown in the trash and then was picked up in the trash truck.

Workers discovered the man after they'd emptied the trash truck at the solid waste facility in Moraine Tuesday. After the trash had been dumped, a machine spreads it out and that's when a worker saw the man's hand sticking out. "Dumped a load of trash and a gentleman came out with it," a worker said in a 911 call.

We're told the man has been taken to Kettering Hospital where he's being treated for minor injuries. The man's name isn't being released, but we do know he's a 28-year-old white male.

"He's raising his hand, I'm heading over there now."

Moraine Police will be working with Springfield Police to investigate the man's reported assault.
