Pueblo police were called to the area of Ivywood Lane and Vinewood Lane near S. Pueblo Boulevard at about 9:23 in the morning on Thursday. At first, officers weren't sure if a body had been dumped or if it was some type of prop for Halloween. The entire dumpster was towed from the scene by authorities.

A woman's body was found inside a suitcase in the dumpster. Police are reporting the woman had a very distinctive clown tattoo. When she was found she was wearing an Air Force t-shirt and M&M candy shorts.

The suspect was driving a small, dark blue 4-door sedan. The suspect was in the area at about 6:42 a.m. on Thursday.

As more information becomes available, this article will be updated.

Woman's body found in Colorado dumpster, police ask for help in identifying victim and suspect

Surveillance video released of suspect accused of leaving suitcase containing woman's body in Pueblo dumpster

October 17, 2019

PUEBLO, Colo. —

What began with a report of a suspicious suitcase inside of a dumpster Thursday morning is now a homicide investigation.

The Pueblo Police Department was first called to the dumpster just after 9:20 a.m., according to a news release. That dumpster is outside of a car wash in the 3900 block of Ivywood Lane.

Officers were “unable to look completely into the suitcase,” according to the release, and called detectives, who ultimately found a human body inside.

The identity of the victim is not known, the release said. According to Pueblo Police, the victim is a woman who was wearing an Air Force t-shirt, M&M candy shorts, and has several tattoos. She has a distinctive tattoo on her right thigh of a female clown.

Oh wow....that video. Literally tosses that suitcase.
Crime doesn't seem too thought out.

Someone has to recognize this car/person. Pueblo isn't even that big of a city. 100k? Unless it's just someone passing through.

Also very distinctive tattoos, should be easy to figure out identity of person.

Lastly, the video time stamp is 5:05AM (which seems right since it appears to be dark out) But they are saying 6:42AM ? It's light out at that hour here.

Yes, this loser should be arrested soon it would appear.
Amateur opinion and speculation

Seen family saying they found him. Not sure why no updates yet.

Got the killers & victims social media ready once they release his/ her name.. sad situation this is..

Same. Can confirm I've found a picture of her where the 3rd tattoo on that press release matches her tattoo.

Not sure what we can or cannot post though in regards to this.

I see comments posting 2 different men as suspect. Some saying it's the victim's boyfriend. Some saying it's the victim's son. We should wait until LE confirms ID and announces an arrest before posting any names/links. Keep those links handy. It shouldn't be too long before the police update this one.

MOO.

Anthony Cuevas is believed to be the man who stuffed a woman's body into a large suitcase and dropped it into a trash dumpster behind a car wash near the intersection of Ivywood Lane and Pueblo Boulevard.

Police said they contacted the couple at around 5:30 p.m. Friday after receiving several phone calls about them. Officers and detectives took the couple into custody near Adolfo's Taco Shop, along U.S. 50, on Pueblo's north side.

The husband faces first degree murder, also faces a charge of violating parole and his wife [Melanie Cuevas] faces a charge of criminal impersonation.
