What does her saying it’s still a missing/endangered child “at this time” mean? Does that actually mean they do not think it's foul play, or are they just saying that to keep step mom out of the loop?

Big Johnson Reservoir is about 3-4 miles (?) from Lorson Ranch where he lived. That makes me think it's more along the lines of a runaway/unexplained missing child situation rather than someone dumping a body far away. ??? SIGH.
Which could be part of the hypothetical plan.
I think with the security footage the "runaway" theory is long put to rest?
but there are instances than line up with staging/setting up his disappearance as a runaway, so whatever actions that follow would align with what a runaway would do or what could happen to said runaway as part of a cover.

Anyone else get the feeling Sergeant Mynatt is a freaking bada**? I can feel her annoyance with social media and the unnecessary tips coming in, but at the same time her compassion and how badly she wants to find Gannon. I really, really like her.

@Hakunamatata is this location at Ft. Carson? Hard for me to tell if it is, or troops from there are searching. I am geographically challenged in this case.
Not very close, closer to Lorson Ranch. Military presence within the community is very common. Service members routinely volunteer in the local area. Ft. Carson is west of this location, near Interstate 25

What we learned from that briefing: they are searching an area near Fontaine and Powers with people, dogs and horses. They have some equipment that will help them add on to the search of this area from a few days ago. NO suspects NO criminal investigation at this time

I think it comes down to they can't find his body, and don't want to say anything at all about what they know, so we're left with "missing child/endangered". With the social media nonsense they're dealing with, can you imagine if they said it's now a homicide investigation?

Fortunately, I don’t think there’s a chance in hell she gets away with this.

Life is going to be terrible for her after this, but it’s going to be spent behind bars.

The kids are going to have a story to tell, and there’s video, and likely cell phone records as well.

Law enforcement is also examining that house as if it’s a crime scene. The amount of time they have spent there, is both telling and ominous.

She made mistakes, and those mistakes will bury her.

I'm glad.

Children can drive their parents crazy and up the wall, but it's what children do, some even ruin their parent's life because they don't know any better. We've done it to our parents. We all discipline differently, some spank, some yell, some do time outs.... But no child deserves to be abandoned, beatened or murdered. For the really awful children that exist, let the system and specialists deal with them.

Yes, I’m really impressed with her! At the end when someone asked if she thought Gannon was alive, you could tell she truly wanted that to be the case. She’s very good at communicating.

They don’t have evidence that he was murdered.
I don’t believe that. If they did have evidence he was murdered, they probably wouldn’t come out and say that until the next phase.

Which would be after SM is charged with a crime.

They initially called this a “runaway child,” but we knew better at the time, and know better now.

There are just way too many signs that this is in fact a criminal investigation. Don’t forget too, the search is being conducted independently from the investigation.
