FLORIDA
Not great news= Gov. finally admitting , maybe lack of testing is a problem. DUH.
He gave a press conf. yesterday- 1 hr. 11 min,
to say, not enough tests, no components (swabs and chemicals) to complete test, too few PPE for
health care workers.
Spring breakers still crowding beaches in many areas. Some towns closing beaches but it's hit or miss.
St. Patrick's Day bars and pubs going full bore
in many cities despite Gov. closing them down at 5 pm. No enforcement. Videos online show crowded bars, young people hanging over others.
6 yr. old boy now is positive.
over 100 new cases in last day, one more death,
now 8.
My trip to Publix showed NO ONE (except me)
had masks or gloves. Even cashiers.
No bread products, little meat, lots of empty shelves.
Cashier said reason for poor deliveries was the
'gubmint' closing down truckers sleeping areas
along the hwys. Trucking problem caused by others. Food shortage caused by "greedy" shoppers according to bag girl.
Reality hasn't hit Florida yet.
Orlando Mayor said yesterday all area hospitals are at capacity with respiratory and
pneumonia cases. Can't test for above reasons.
3 off site drive up test centers are coming in next week or so. Again no tests and people must qualify to get tested.
It's an un-coordinated mess with no planning here. Just react, after the fact.

Dozens of Tube stations to shut over coronavirus

“Up to 40 stations on the London Underground network are to be shut as the city attempts to reduce the effect of the coronavirus outbreak.

Transport for London (TfL) announced there would be a partial shutdown of the network from Thursday morning.

The move comes after Boris Johnson said the virus was spreading faster in London than other parts of the UK.

Latest government figures show there have been more than 900 confirmed cases of coronavirus in London and 34 people have died in the city.”
