Ran an Interpol search with Silva as a surname.

Silva is also quite common in Spanish speaking countries.

Didn't find a Diogo, but could be a variation of it.

Even with the DOB, it's finding a needle in the haystack though.

If I spoke Portughese, I'd had run the research.

Christian B was first convicted aged just 17 in Bavaria in 1994 for “abusing a child” and “performing sex acts in front of a child”.

The Würzburg district court sentenced the then 17-year-old to two years, of which he served only part.

He only served this sentence later - So he was in Bavaria when Peggy went missing. I wonder if he’d been released from custody at that point.

WHY are these serial predators being let out so often! If a child is abusing children at the age of 17 that is a SIGN that that person is sick and will reoffend. The system failed MM big time if he is guilty. He shouldn't have been able to travel so freely.

Does Portugal have a registered sex offender registry? I can not believe they never looked into this creep.

Can anyone confirm if the Ocean Club has any connection to the "Oceanico Group" or just similar in name? Perhaps Diogo Silva is such a common name and this man who worked for or around the McCann apartments is not the one who called CB on the fateful night.

Is it such a common name that it’s almost John Smith or Joe Bloggs? Is it the kind of name that someone might use as a fake name because it’s so ubiquitous?

That’s the only negative with this site (apart from the 90’s style layout ) the mods are super fussy. Even though MSM have named him, we still can’t name him or talk about him for some reason. Makes no sense? Not really a sleuthing site when you think about it but there you go.
