You’re having a hard time swallowing the idea that BM actually was there on the property that LE searched extensively? Why? He was hired to work there. Why would you think he wasn’t or that no one saw him working there?
Rick Sallinger talked to the owner of the property, and he said he had met BLM three weeks before. I find it hard to believe him. As I said, I have about the same reaction to what he told Rick as I do to spicy pepperoni pizza. It's hard for me to swallow. IMO

ADMIN NOTE:

This post lands at random.

Please do not bring rumors to the discussion in any fashion, even to say to the effect “there was a rumor that ...”. You can be assured that later on, even threads later, it will have grown legs and end up being stated as fact. If it is a rumor, don’t mention it at all.

Also, please discuss the case only; don’t discuss or complain about other members. It is off topic and derails the thread that is dedicated specifically to discussing Suzanne’s case and makes it all about you. If you think there is a TOS violation or that you have a valid complaint, click the Report button and then scroll and roll until a Mod or Admin is able to review your Report and deal with it.

Thanks.

I can only think of about 6 searches that have been conducted, does anyone we have a list of where the 10 large scale searches were performed?

"As of Wednesday morning, there was not a need for volunteer search groups.

“They have done a number of targeted searches with specialized investigators and different groups that have come to do searches over the past month,” Medina said. “As for volunteer search groups, at this point, the sheriff was indicating that he wanted to continue to utilize law enforcement resources to conduct those searches.”

Investigators have performed 10 large-scale searches throughout the county, as of Wednesday morning.

After 1 month and few updates, CBI says ‘a high level of commitment’ remains in Suzanne Morphew case

Why? You get price quotes weeks in advance, always. That's why the property owner would've met him three weeks before.

BBM

So LE figures it is possible that Suzanne could have been missing for two weeks before Mothers Day. Wow, I didn't know that.

BM staged the scene because the daughters were coming home on Mothers Day and they would find out at last? No one knew for two weeks that she was missing?

I don't think that's the right interpretation of this - this article was written 2 weeks after she disappeared, that's what the "two weeks ago" is referring to.

What clinches it for me was LEs response in the first few hours after SM was reported missing. It was still light out yet they involved multiple agencies in a search and had the house taped off in under 6 hrs. They either found something or heard something BIG. IMO
Agreed. I listened to “Dad with a pocket”. BM states that LE found a personal item and they did not let him know what it is. Either he will not tell because it makes him look guilty, or LE won’t tell him what it is because they know it is something that he is involved with and makes him look guilty.

I listened to the blogger video at least twice. I recall BM pointing out the ravine location and position of the tire when he quickly caught himself and pivoted to something else.

Did not hear anything regarding the [mechanical] "condition" of the bike -- except that it was allegedly touched 10 times.

MOO

ETA: add WS approved link to blogger video

CO - CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee County, 10 May 2020 , MEDIA,MAPS,TIMELINE *NO DISCUSSION*

I had to read many pages before getting back to this, as I wanted to see if it had been addressed further.
So, responding to this and 3 or 4 other comments, I think it's important to think about WHY BM and his nephew were/are pushing the condition, the position and the handling (literally) of the bike.
There was definitely a bike found, for those who questioned that, but the question is was it ridden by SM or put there.

Why would someone, who is definitely a POI, bring the bike up at length, along with a myriad of other possible explanations (but I digress)?
There could be either trace elements or partial fingerprints (ridge points) on the bike, right?

Did he say that the bike was handled by 10 people 'without gloves'? That's what I'm unsure of, the 'without gloves' part.
*ETA: I've no idea how he'd even know that 10 people handled the bike*
My brain might've added that if he didn't say it, but only because if they had gloves on it wouldn't matter how many people handled it, fingerprint/trace elements/dna -wise.

Either way, he seems very deliberate in making those points and IMO, for a good reason.
He would have reasonable opportunity to have fingerprints on her bike ~ he could've taken it out of the garage for her etc.
However, what if another person was involved that would/could be traced back to BM?
Maybe someone else helped stage the scene of abduction or even, in fact, did abduct her.
Wouldn't be the first time.
IMO, MOO

I have a problem with BLM meeting him three weeks before. I don't like him. Frankly, I don't find him to be credible at all. I'm tired of hearing about him. IMO
Who? The property owner? Isn't that who you were talking about? If not, I must've mistaken my quoting you.
I went back and read your comment earlier and I'm pretty sure that's who you were talking about.
Why would you question the property owner; not like him, not find him credible at all and be tired of hearing of him?
He spoke once to a reporter, afaik.

It turns out BM's uncle was named:
“Everybody loves Suzanne and Barry,” family member wants Chaffee County mother’s safe return
[Bob Morphew said he believes his nephew, Barry had absolutely nothing to do with Suzanne’s disappearance.]
[He added for those pointing the finger at Barry, “I think they can bury that kind of thought.” Bob went on to say, “tell that to the Chaffee County Sheriff.” “They’re a loving couple and I’ve never seen any kind of unhappiness with each other or produced by either one of them,” Bob Morphew said.]
Often people say what is on their mind. “He does not say he has nothing to do with it”. He prophetically says “bury any thought” which to me suggests he subconsciously has the thought of BM burying her.

I wonder if he's the Grandfather of BM's nephew, the one that was his 'spokesperson' for a couple of days.

H'mmm, yes, someone else ..... yes, I too have entertained this thought. Another woman, per chance, perhaps, infatuated or involved with BM, imagines herself living in that big house with BM .... quite possible. And if BM was involved with someone else that could explain his not wanting to reveal that to the media, wouldn't look too good .... and maybe that's why the daughters aren't by his side in media pleas ..... h'mm, a lot of possibilities really, when you think about it.

It wouldn't have to be 'the' woman involved, personally. I was thinking more of a close friend or even a dedicated relative.
Pure conjecture on my part and just one of the many possibilities.

“Investigators dug beneath a concrete slab. The property owner told CBS4’s Rick Sallinger Suzanne’s husband, Barry, laid the dirt at the riverfront property.“
Search For Suzanne Morphew In Salida Concludes With No New Clues – CBS Denver

BBM
Something caused them to remove a particular portion of that slab, that I'm assuming they got a legal authorization to do so, a Search Warrant.
I wonder if BM laid the dirt just in time for the concrete to be poured, knowing how soon it would be poured and set. It's appearing he does some work in the field himself.
There was a reason, and a strong one, a SW was authorized. I'm assuming they got a SW, of course.
We don't know if anything was found or not, right?

Why?
He obviously contracted to him.
I would like to see that contract. The one in writing. Not the verbal handshake one.

Why? You get price quotes weeks in advance, always. That's why the property owner would've met him three weeks before.
Exactly!
Then one gets the contract, required insurances and the contractor prelims the job.
Was this just a handshake?
I can't imagine it wasn't more professional as successful as he appeared. Is there something we don't know?

I also remember somewhere reading that the homeowner said BM was there. I can’t find it of course. Anyone else?
Thx, Lilypad. It's driving me crazy. I remember that the homeowner saw him and also that he noted something that may have been a little odd about the timing. Whether the date or the time of day, I can't recall. At the time the search was going on, I was following it closely. Moo
