SD SD - Serenity Dennard, 9, Children’s Home Society, Pennington County, 3 Feb 2019 #4

Former Children's Home employee arrested on child *advertiser censored* charges Well this is very disturbing. MOO

Despite the Wyoming reference in the name, this Children's Home has nothing to do with the state of Wyoming or with the South Dakota home that Serenity disappeared from. It's an organization that serves southeast-central New York State (the Binghamton area), which is where Eric Hedges was arrested.

Wyoming is a common place name in that part of New York and just south of there in Pennsylvania, long predating the state or territory of Wyoming.

This employee did not work at the facility SD went missing from, right? I could not find a connection. IMO

I believe the Children's Home of Wyoming Conference locations are limited to NY -- and their history in NY state goes back to 1912. News not related to this case.

Good point, @janewall. The states of New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia have counties named Wyoming.
I learn something every day!

IMO, the official searches LE conducted, for a year + were incredible. The seasons would change, they would be back at it. It would be interesting to see total manhours spent searching for poor Serenity. At some point, sadly, they have to make this call.

I feel like this little girl was lost in life, now in death. Such a kick in the gut. IMO

Two year anniversary is only days away on Feb 3.

The last I recall is that Serenity's adoptive parents (Dennard and Gentry) reached out to retired FBI and/or Veracity IIR on August 27, 2020, to find their missing daughter.

“We’ll do as much research as we can,” Kouns said. “We’ll look for gaps and peopke that we think we might want to interview again. We’ll reach out to the investigators who worked on this already and hopefully they’ll be cooperative and share with us what they’ve done, maybe some insights that haven’t been made public.”

Kouns says he believes Veracity IIR will be the first private investigation firm to take on Serenity’s case.

“We’ll use the principles we used to use at the FBI,” he said. “Let the facts guide our investigation and use the intl cycle to figure out what questions need to be answered and how they’ll be answered. We’ll collect our intel, process it and analyze it, then produce a set of more detailed questions, just fine-tuning it each time around.”

Very understandable. A number of hunting seasons for various game, etc., will begin in the spring, and locals will still be alert. <sigh>
Little Girl Lost. Her heartsick family. We here at WS.
Hope has no time limit.

These people are amazingly dedicated. How proud that community must be for their hard work and perseverance. Maybe the locals will continue to be alert when they hike and hunt, watching for signs, taking pictures, noting details of broken branches, disturbed soil. Send them a sign Serenity so you can come home.

Amazing effort from professionals and just "plain people." They worked and walked all over the place.
Showing that we can be amazing people in spite of the meanness, selfishness, and cruelty we see here every day.
Sometimes things surprise us in a good way.
Positive thoughts, actions, and relationships (like here on WS) help so much.
Her sweet and a bit impish smile in that picture.
Bless her little heart.

After all of the searches, the circumstances of her disappearance, the delays in alerting authorities, lack of surveillance, confusion, questionable leadership, etc, I am still of the opinion that Serenity left the area in a vehicle. Probably not in a random vehicle.
