It makes it more unusual though because of the level of vetting i.e. DV he'd need for his job. He was either hiding it very well a few years ago or he was not showing any red flags in internet history etc which is reviewed as part of DV.

I guess it can be quite easy to hide for some.
Some are more accomplished at 'putting on a face'.

Or...as in the Libby Squires case. His 'flashing' and burglary (staring at the women when he knew they saw him) wasn't classed as a particularly serious crime by police but it did have signs that he was escalating, being dominant and wanting to cause women distress. That's a big red flag IMO in terms of what someone 'wants' to do in the future. At some point the rush the person gets from intimidating a woman by flashing isn't enough and they know they want to rape to get a 'better' rush. Killing the person comes after the rape because they realise they have to do something to escape responsibility and carry on their sick fantasies. I doubt he panicked and 'went too far' as another poster theorised, he will have known the likely outcome for his victim was death and that's the price he thought it was OK for her to pay for him to get his kicks. That's why it will be a murder charge. JMO.
A very good point here. It's very difficult and distressing to put yourself in the shoes of someone with this mindset, but it's definitely a very prominent trait of a psychopath to either detach themselves from reality completely (which could serve to explain how he would have passed the regular psych tests required for his job role, by presenting as a completely different person to the one you are when you commit crimes) or to have that lack of empathy for others whereby you feel it is both acceptable and appropriate for them to suffer extreme distress and/or die so long as you fulfill your sexual urges. MOO but what if we have stumbled on someone who is a master of presenting as normal (almost reminiscent of the family man image perpetuated by Dennis Rader).

To the best of my knowledge any new offences could be reported.
But I am willing to be corrected by anyone with police / legal knowledge.

It would be factual in nature e.g. WC has been rearrested on suspicion of X or WC has been charged with X. If charged, the date due to appear at magistrates.

I wouldn't go down the Psychopath route quite yet.
There was no evidence or anything to point to Relowicz being one.
We'll never know and probably won't ever be privy to a psych report for either perps.

With the bus CCTV they will have had to go to the bus operator, in the case of the no.50 I believe this is Arriva, to request the CCTV footage, not TfL. I am not LE but I do work in a role in which I am sometimes required to ask for CCTV footage on behalf of fraud investigation/LE, (or for other details e.g.payment card details) from operators, so I have had this experience (not with Arriva but with several other bus/coach ops)

In one of the updates from the MET, DCI Katherine Goodwin said they had to seize some cctv footage - IMO maybe the operators were slow on the urgency since the break through came on Monday from it. The No. 50 was at Poynders / Kings at around 2140 hrs (from tfl cctv footage) so maybe this was the vehicle.

IF he was under investigation for the alleged IE, he may have been demoted to the proverbial desk duty. Pure speculation. 'Turn in your gun' sort of thing. Which could be emasculating for some. Knowing his career and his life as he'd known it were in jeopardy, he may well have utterly devolved, willfully choosing a horrific display of ultimate power and control. Vile.

Sounds like he was wrestling with inner demons ending in this awful tragedy.

Sarah was simply walking home.

JMO

I've been reading these topics for the few days and one thing I often wondered was about this ambulance. JMO but I wonder whether that was called following an argument between his wife after he told her what he'd done and needed an alibi.

I have asked multiple times about where this information regarding an ambulance visiting his house is from but I can't seem to get an answer. Can anyone clarify for me please?

It's not just a face though. They'd have been going through his internet history, his personal affairs etc. A friend who has it was asked in the interview about the types of pornographic material they watch, it's really quite extensive.

Do we have any idea yet what tipped the police off to search the woods in the first place, given that it's so far from where he lives?

If there were ANPR cameras in the area, or around it showing historical travel they would've assessed the landscape and decided the most likely places for hiding a body, maybe? He may have reacted with body language to the idea during questioning if he's giving a no comment response.

Car GPS location tracking history. Mobile mast pings. Anything, really.

Pretty much everyone who lives a normal lifespan will lose both parents, in fact. The suggestion that grief could turn someone into a psychopathic killer is bizarre and, frankly, offensive. Are Sarah's loved ones at risk of becoming murderers now?

That's not what anyone is saying. If you look at offenders with serious, existing mental illness or violent tendencies, there is sometimes a trigger that causes them to escalate their offending. We call it a precipitating event. This is NOT saying and has NEVER said that all people who lose loved ones will become murderers. The point is someone who may be suffering from homicidal impulses but is able to control those impulses suffers a break due to trauma and no longer controls their impulses.

This graphic shows where officers are working - the woodland off Fridd Lane is close to the railway line, as you can see below #SarahEverard

Am I correct that a railway line runs through the Golf Course property area?

Is this a line WC would be using for commuting?

We've all heard of killers who bury or otherwise conceal their victim's body in a place where they can watch it without being obvious

A fair bit of information on here. CCTV & surveillance cameras I think gaining CCTV takes a fair whilst as the loopholes you've got to jump through under GDPR, even as LE and it's down to each bus company.

All TfL busses use the same technology as ships, AIS. So would have been a bit of a task tracking all that data on replay then finding the matching code for the relevant bus. That same bus registration(s) when they needed the footage from might have been running and so it can take time.

IMO / I calculated 14-15 buses per hour if they are running at 100%. Interestingly DCI Goodwin at one of the press conferences said they had to seize CCTV so whether this meant TFL were slow on the uptake / urgency of this situation. I think it was pure coincidence that a bus was passing by at the same time capturing video evidence of him / her.

I resent this suggestion that he’s displaying erratic behaviour. He was considered well enough to be given firearms and wasn’t stripped of that right, I hate that the media or anyone is trying to make him out to be erratic or having a mental breakdown as if that makes him less culpable. I knew on some level that some people would start trying to mitigate the offence by saying he was a troubled individual. The fact that his parents died isn’t a valid reason for him to abduct a young woman, murder her and throw her in the woods or expose himself to a female member of staff in McDonald’s when she was just trying to do her job for nothing more than minimum wage during a pandemic.

Sorry I should have introduced myself, newbie but been following all threads to date. I know it hasn't been mentioned for a while but a lot earlier, some posters were saying it was an unusual route for WC to drive home from either Westminster/Charing Cross (assumed by others but not confirmed) via the A205 out to Kent. I had thought WC may have rented a driveway/other parking space (OR that he just parked on the street there) near Poynders and then tubed it from Charing Cross to Clapham South so I support that as a theory, I know a couple have posted it. But would also like to say that i live between two Midlands cities and have had to drive into both of them for work (not for a while fortunately) and traffic can be nightmare.. into City A I was ok as long as I arrived by 8.30 and left before 4pm... one minute later and I'd be stuck in a half hour jam
City B even worse... I tried various routes and they were all congested at different times, in the end I found a route that worked for me 3 miles longer but avoided most of the traffic. So IMO if WC did drive all the way into Central Londonhe may well have found the A205 route quicker to get out at certain times (please people, dont always believe everything you read on google Maps! Directions/times are not always accurate!)
