Regardless of what Indiana law allows for DNA collection (whether it's collect on arrest or on conviction) - if, after talking to him, investigators in other cases feel they have probable cause and can get a judge to agree, they can get a warrant for his DNA quickly. MOO

I don't think he loves in a normal way, but I do think he has feelings. In fact, I think he feels deeply. But, his feelings are immature, unrealistic fantasies.

He is a menace and if not caught would continue to be a danger to girls and women. He does want to humiliate them, imo, and make them suffer at his hands. But not sure he fits the charming sociopath label. My opinion only, realizing it won't match what others think.

I agree with you. Well said...

He is no Ted Bundy, or Jeffrey McDonald, or John Wayne Gacy. These sociopaths were able to cover up their killings for years, on the strength of their fancy words and strong personalities.

This guy spoke to the officers for just a moment, and it only took that long for them to decide to return and want to search his basement.
 
I wonder if he carries around those mini shooter bottles...a lot of booze guys do (and homeless, transient, etc.). And they discard them all over the place. If you walk down the street, etc., in any given area, you can often see those on the ground/curb, etc. I imagine it would be a great piece of evidence if one were to be located at scenes...Fingerprints, potentially DNA...

We’ll get some news tomorrow when additional charges are filed, which will likely and rightfully be adequately harsh and plentiful. Thank God, the fact that he was caught red handed, the victim lived, I don’t think he’ll ever see the light of day again, thankfully, he better not anyway. I’m hoping for attempted murder, straight up, in addition to rape, kidnapping, assault, ETC. ETC.

April 20th, 2021

Lafayette Police Arrest Man After Locating Missing Child

LAFAYETTE, INDIANA

On April 19th, at 6:58pm, the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 2400-blk of Main Street to investigate the report of a missing endangered nine-year-old juvenile female. The mother of the missing child indicated that her daughter had been missing for approximately 30 minutes before the police were notified. It was reported that the resident of 714 Park Court, made comments about seeing the child in the time frame after she was reported missing.

Officers contacted the resident of 714 Park Ct, James Chadwell (42). A search of the residence was conducted, and the child was located inside the home. There were visible signs of injury on the child to include bruising on her body, and an injury on her lower leg that was consistent with a dog bite. The child was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment and evaluation.

James Chadwell was arrested for Criminal Confinement, and is currently being held at the Tippecanoe County Jail. This incident is still under investigation and no further details are available at this time. Anyone with any additional information about this investigation is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200, or through the anonymous WeTIP hotline at 800-78-CRIME.

Damn. Called the Crown too, but too expensive for him, imo. Maybe he’ll drop the cash for the Crown when he has it.

As for vodka, he didn’t strike me as a vodka guy (I consciously thought about this) BUT like I said, a hard core booze alcoholic will drink anything. I’m a beer person myself but have known a lot of boozers over the years, and been on both sides of the bar as both a customer and bartender...

If we open up the vodka channel, I bet, being Opposite Day and all, that he likes “Tito’s”, “Grey Goose”...is he a “Sky guy”...BLA BLA.

*You never know what be might be important later.

Who knows, he stole the Disaronno, maybe...

Sorry to keep interrupting with this booze stuff but I think it says a lot about who he really is and who he wants people to THINK he is. No way he has Absolut in his liquor cabinet. No way he even HAS a liquor cabinet. That would require self control and responsible drinking IMO. He strikes me as a binge drinker. Impulsive. Buy a bottle, (or steal it) then drink it up. No storing anything in a cabinet for a future cocktail. MOO.

No thank you very much. I appreciate the opportunity to bounce thoughts, sleuth, all that stuff...I’m not on SM, so all the “legal” SM synopsis, notes, etc. are very helpfulthank you for staying with my train of thought...Someone might read this and say, “why are they talking about booze?” Trust me, I have a reason: in case it becomes important later.

In my experience, initial “vibes”, thoughts and impressions are very important.

JC posted a photo of himself, of course, one morning at 8am by saying he was already drunk and loving life. Memory is vaguely recalling him in an outdoor scene, att.

He also said to Officers that he knew the person at the liquor store would not report him for stealing the Disaronno that he had secreted down his left sleeve. I thought it was because JC had been a rather frequent customer but it appears the person behind the counter reported him anyway.

Disaronno bottles are not small so imagine a piece of clothing holding a heavy bottle of liquor for very long. I was tickled that he jumped the fence efficiently when running from Officers but failed to nail the landing successfully.
 
I’ve been following along with you guys. You’re doing some seriously great profiling! This guy is disgusting. :eek: It’s weird because I feel like it’s likely he’s done this before, but at the same time he’s such an open book—how would he have gotten away with it? Wouldn’t someone close to him suspect things? Maybe he just got lucky in spite of himself. Or maybe he doesn’t really have anyone actually close enough to know.

Tomorrow will be very interesting.
